Even if the Hover Dam consumed that much material it was at least built in one spot, it wasn't being built over the span of hundreds of miles.
The Chinese built a wall centuries ago that is thousands of miles long that spans over mountainous regions without technology so tell me again how is a wall like what Trump wants impossible to build in the modern day?
Which took many many years to do and millions of people to do it. Even with modern tech this wall will take generations to complete and the terrain will make it even harder. The wall is technically possible to do, but it is not a practical thing at all due to the time, resources and money. The money being spent on it would be better off going towards a stronger border presence which would be a lot more practical.
