Gaming / Re: Reasons why Battlefront will hurt us (please don't)
« on: April 24, 2015, 08:21:53 PM »
1: 40 players: For a inside map like the Death Star or a city map that is a good amount of players due to the size and area of it. But when it comes down to large open maps it's way too little. The game is going to feel empty because of that. Battlefront 2 is 32 players on 6th gen and even with smaller maps it still feels empty at times. Really what is the point of getting this game when the PC version of Battlefront 2 is 64 players? You're buying a 2015 game that has more limitations than a 2005 game.

2: The ATAT's are scripted: It's going to take the fun out of the levels that have them when you can't even control them. It's also going to take the fun out of having them when they are predictable. Even the PSP port of Battlefront 2 has them controllable.

3: No space battles: Once again a 2005 game has more content than a 2015 game. Even if they're going to be in a DLC it's going to be a paid DLC out the ass. Elite Squadron had something going and DICE simply ignored it.

4: No classes: Half the fun of the first two games is playing as different units. It's fun feeling like a god using the destroyer droids. The only reason why it's going to have loadouts is because it's another fad in today's games. It's going to kill this game. Battlefront is a class based game and not a load out one. The whole point of the games is to play the battles from the movies using the things from them which would have to be done by classes.

5: No Clone Wars: Like I said above it's less content. Star Wars Battlefront which is the first game managed to launch with it unlike this game and it still played well. This seems like it's going to be a greedy DLC at some point.

6:There's already planned DLC. That right there tells you there's going to be content cut or hold back just to be charged.

Well there's goes any reason for me to get GTA 5 or any other game on PC from Steam. This shit sure is going to kill the Workshop. Good thing there is Nexus which is free.
GTA V will never have official mod support.
Why not?

preorder for BETA access
I hate this shit. The whole point of a beta is to test the game and get player feedback on it. You shouldn't have to put money down on the game in order to test it. You're basically paying money to play a demo.

Warp engines are useless until defector shields are developed.

Shields and inertial dampeners are unnecessary because the ship inside the bubble would not really be moving, and wouldn't be interacting with any matter in normal space.
When you're warping you're warping space around you. So wouldn't things like dust be warped threw your ship so you need something to push the space junk out of your way?

That post never existed.

I honestly blame EA still. Indie devs take longer to make games because they are not on any publishers clock. They can put any of their ideas without worry about a release date.
Indie developers know if they build a bad game it could kill them. Look at No Mans Sky. I say by know that game could be released but the developers are still working on it. If it was some AAA game it would be out by now and the rest of the game would be buggy and charged as DLC. With AAA developers they know they can make bad games without it hurting them.

They literally could have just ported Elite Squadron, making the transition from Space and Land seemless ( Elite Squadron had a 5 sec cutscene, but was pretty good for a PSP game) and it would have been a fucking success.

YouTube

Agreed. That game did get the space battles right for being as limited as it is. The ships themselves have a interior to them instead of just being rooms and they can effect the ground battle. In that game the space battle has very little impact on the game but you can just build a game type around it. The attacking team starts in space and the defenders are on the ground. The attacking team wins be capturing or destroying objectives and the defending team wins by draining the attacking teams numbers or destroying their command ships. With Battlefront it's as if anything fun is either hindered or removed for greed which is the case.

So you were unhappy that BF won't have space battles, but you're also unhappy that they might make them for later release?
I think the reason why he's unhappy is because chances are it's going to be a paid thing. When there is a DLC for them I think it's safe to say the majority of the maps are going to be a paid DLC. So like two maps are free and the others you have to buy. The jet playlist for Battlefield is only unlcoked when you buy a DLC that has that playlist so something like that could be for this DLC.

You  really are one of the worst posters.
Oh yes I'm one of the worst posters on this site for having fun just like anybody else on this site. I forgot threads like "What color is your dildo" is a quality topic. Even though there's a decent amount of users on this site that make retarded threads I'm just the one that stands out for it. You're right. I am one of the worst posters on this site. I'm on the same level as PSU which is a troll or Verb which is a angry kid that throws around insults all because I'm posting threads just like anybody else here. So what exactly changed since we left Bnet? My posting style here is the same as it was on Bnet and as far as I know you haven't been saying that shit.  All of a sudden this site comes along and I went from being the worst poster to now one of the worst posters. I'm thinking my thread about tea really must have set the angry Britbong in you off. That's when I became the worst poster on this site to you.

What has me scared is that the jet playlist for Battlefield is only included in a paid DLC. Even if it is free we all know it's going to launch with two maps and the rest is going to be paid DLC. Honestly we're probably better off if this game just gets axed like the other two Battlefront 3's.

Gaming / Re: What reason do you think Battlefront is at 40 players?
« on: April 24, 2015, 04:47:07 PM »
because 20 v 20 is enough...
Yes and no. For a inside map or a city map 40 players is enough for that, but for large outside maps like Hoth it isn't. Less players means less content for the battle. With 64 players that would mean a lot of vehicles and the battles would be funnier. Battlefront 2 with 64 players works out well. The Battlefront mod for that game is fun with that player count due to some of the maps. 40 players on large maps is going to be empty.
I can see both sides really, I mean, 60 is bloody crazy in BF4, But in BF it could work. So yeah..
Like I said 64 players would be better for the open battles. 40 players is really not enough for large open maps. At times in Battlefront 2 with 32 players the game feels empty at areas due to not enough people.

There was a movie?
There's a few movies. This one came out in 2003, there's one about Mr. Crocker getting Timmy's fairies, three cross over movies with Jimmy Neutron and two live action movies.

So this is what Joel did in the 20 year gap in TLoU.

This looks promising, so I'll definitely keep an eye on it.
I take it that it isn't at all related to Fury Road?
I think it might take place before the second movie. The car he has in the game is that Ford he used in the first and second movie. In the second movie it ended up getting blown up by his bomb so this game is either a prequel or he ended up finding a car just like it.

So if SWBF actually looks like that trailer.
Which would only be on high end PC's or at least medium tier ones. The in game graphics are not going to look like that on consoles.
