Louisiana is a shithole.  New Orleans is a ghetto swamp city and Baton Rogue isn't much better.  The Deep South is, for the most part, trash.  If you're in Texas and travel east you have to go through 3 landfills masquerading as States to get to a decent place like Georgia, and even then only north Georgia is nice.
