I'd develop a way to 3d print uppers.
That would be nice. It would save on a lot of the materials wasted with one of the current methods of machining uppers. I'd be curious as to how they'd do it though.
probably some kind of method using steel nanoparticles, depositing them into a mold and heating it up so they melt into a solid piece. I'm actually not sure how that would work. . .what ever you use for a mold would need to withstand higher temperatures without melting, some kind of ceramic maybe? I'm not really up on my materials science right now.
