I have this story I always tell.

>be me
>like fourteen or someshit (end of summer right before 8th grade)
>have to take the dog out like a faggot
>realize my brother and his friend are watching slenderman videos
>lightbulb.jpg
>I'll slam my fucking hand on his widow to scare the shit out of him
>herewego.gif
>bang
>bang
>ba-SHATTER
>BARE HAND GOES THROUGH FUCKING PAPER THIN WINDOW
>Blood. Everywhere. Deep ass cut on my right thumb (pic related)
>run as fast as I can to the back porch where my mom is, she heard the glass break and my brother screaming
>get driven off to the emergency room immediately
>mfw

The doctors couldn't stitch it together or cauterize it. All of the other cuts on my arm were minuscule so only a couple of band aids were needed, whereas my thumb was wrapped in four layers of gauze for the next two to three weeks. Also had to wear a sling to school to keep my arm elevated.

no ragrets

I bet that stung like a bitch didn't it?
Stung would be an understatement, my friend.

On top of that, before we went to the ER, my mom took me into this clinic that could patch people up before going to the hospital. They gave me this painkiller and gauze but when they heard my mom didn't have the insurance they supported, they took off the fucking gauze and sent us on our way with my still bleeding thumb.

Gotta love Florida.
it was already on your finger. What were they gonna do, reuse it?

The Flood / Re: Are you optimistic or pessimistic about humanity's future?
« on: November 19, 2014, 11:06:07 PM »
Optimistic until the Reapers come by.
All we'd have to do to defeat them is rewrite the plot and shine Red Green and Blue lights at them.
Space magic required.
Why don't we just take the reapers and push them somewhere else?

How did Casey Hudson not think of this...

It's so simple!

The greatest thinker in recent history.

Cautious optimism.

Spoiler
TBH I care more about sapient life at large much more than humanity, but considering the population thus far is, well, humanity...

Sapient?
of similar or greater intelligence as that of a human.

Just keep in mind what is important.
All this crappy homework (I'm lazy, but actually studying as I type this) will pay off. It will be worth it.
Me, I cannot devote all my time to school. I need socialization.

So lessen the work load to a comfortable level. Me? I work 3 days, got to 2 classes on 2 days (I would do more but I'll have my A.A), and I have one actual day off devoted to whatever. Church at night though.

Find your level, and do that. Don't overwhelm yourself to where you fail. It will simply waste time and money, and make you take longer to finish off school.
I suck shit at socializing with new people in real life, but from everyone I've listened to in my classes that are mostly Sophomore+(I took classes at Community college in HS) say "From what I've learned so far, all this work is really just to weed out people that aren't dedicated, persistent, and organized; and that it's really just to see who can get through it". I was losing my shit the last year and a half of High School because it was filler and I wanted to learn valuable things and get challenges that meant something and learn how to solve them, I don't enjoy the prospect of 4+ more years of that.
sounds like you should've went to a technical college. What's your major? You may have already told me?

If you are in it. I wanna be in it when you are.
lol, I don't know I'm not very big on speaking and I doubt I could bring any the appropriate for a podcast to the table.

First I'd like to say that LC is a dick particularly at the end of the podcast. He also made a background for the podcast. See below.
Spoiler
Still waiting for Cheat's superior background.

So for the time being I'd thought I'd get some info about people who would like to be on future podcasts. Just tell me if you would like to, and what you would bring in as far as discussion value goes.

I'd like to be in it. I'm big into movies, video games, and music, but I'm not the only one.
I have an eye towards video games and their components more than anything else really. I like to talk about the story components, the music, the visuals, everything that drives a game forward.

As for music, I don't know the name of all the genres (because there are so dang many), but I know what I like. I can break down a song as well, it's components and everything in between. Instrumentally and lyrically.

I'm used to speaking in public or in a recording environment, since I record music. Friendly, so we don't have to worry about getting all pissy and what not. Since we are taking some user's questions, I'm sure people would ask me some messed up stuff (which would be hilarious by the way). And I'd get to know the other users on the podcast more.

Spoiler
and you get to hear the sexy voice of a singer  ;D
that reminds me, any particular subject matter or are you guys just bullshitting?

bump cuz panic attack.
Go.
Where?
I mean spill it.
I haven't signed up for next semester at college, I don't think I should go but I don't know what I'd do if I skipped the semester. I have no job experience, I wouldn't know where to start, but I'd not work at Burger King or some shit restaurant. Wondering if I should leave home for a while to try and get out of this zone where I realize I should be trying to learn and work and start making a living, but I can't get myself to do it since I feel like I'm taken care of; I'm thinking maybe it's like how I had to tell my parents to stop driving me to school so I could finally get myself to want to drive and get my license. But I don't know how long I'd be able to do that for, or if it's all something I'd just regret once I got into it.

I then tried to get myself studying on my math again for the quiz tomorrow, but I felt like crap and couldn't get myself to do it.
Geez, dude. I don't know what to tell you.

Well there was my fat hipster English teacher in 10th grade, my math teacher in 9th grade who got busted for sexually harassing girls(not the first time either), my principal who can't read, my vice principal who is a Nazi(has the mustache and everything), my gym teacher who has fought at least 4 students in the last 8 years(all the gym teachers are idiots on that matter), the pervert engineering teachers, and the fat fuck diabetic chemistry teacher who drinks mountain dew every morning.

I could go on and on.

Holy shit, where are you from?

South Jersey.

My Chemistry teacher a few years back didn't know what the hell she was doing. At one point she asked the class if she was doing one of the examples right. She's the reason I stopped taking it.

Oh boy, my biology teacher was so stupid, like literally i was at one time taking a test, i got everything right, but nope, her brain thinks that everything was wrong so i got a F, i should this to my brother and we were laughing of how stupid she is, it's like she never even got an education of biology.

Do you see humanity traveling the stars and continuing to grow? (Optimistic)

Or

Do you see humanity diving into war and eventually tearing the world apart? (Pessimistic)
In my career I will be actively participating in the push to get humanity off planet.

I'm cautiously optimistic, I have to be. I will acknowledge however, non-linear systems w/ a lot of variables, makes it hard to come to a conclusion at this point.
