the visuals were freaking great, good thing too considering Thorne was able to get a scientific paper out of it.
I was referring to the black hole and wormhole but considering that (as far as I know) was the first attempt at representing a tesseract accurately in a motion film it was pretty good.

Capone
C
I really liked it. Some inconsistencies here and there but nowhere near what the extremely vocal haters would have you think. I still think about it from time to time, it's very similar to Manifold: Time in some ways. YES, when I was thinking of
Spoiler The acausality of the entire Tesseract problem all that popped into my head was "DOWNSTREAMERS CONFIRMED"
Closed timelike curves anyone? XD

>everyone's face when Halo's premise was a straight up plagiarism of Starhammer
PS Pirpir have you watched Interstellar yet?!
And Aliens
Premise isn't a ripoff of Aliens. Visual style? You got that right.

Yes, have you?
Yep! Watched it yesterday and I still can't stop thinking about it. What'd ya think of it?

Atheists believe to be persecuted using a term called the Christian Persecution Complex but then say that feminists aren't persecuted and are only making it all up, despite their argument against feminism also applying to themselves: that persecution in the western world is so little that it is negligible.
inb4 lock because the mods get butthurt when an opinion conflicts with their own
> implying that all atheists are anti-feminists > implying that most atheists think they're legitimately persecuted against in the west I shiggy diggy.

Which science you may ask, bio-technology. I also want to work with genetics. But I think my radical ideas may be too far fetched for the science community so I may aim to be a surgeon/brain surgeon... Thoughts? I'm kind of torn :/
research is more intellectually rewarding. On the plus side if you get something wrong you can still write a paper and learn something. Being a surgeon is more financially rewarding. If you get something wrong here you get sued for millions.

I'm not looking to fedora extra-hard here but I'm just going to put my 2 cents in.
-old half written by bronze/iron age mystics, w/ no knowledge of the modern world -new bits written in a time period where mystery religions w/ their respective messiahs were fairly popular -the only source we have that says it's the actual word of God is itself -the version we use today was apparently compiled by committee, who's to say they got the right bits
Again op, I'm not looking to shit on you but the bible doesn't exactly scream, "the best possible source of worldviews" to me.

The EU is a fucking mess anyway.
I agree with that. I know hardly anything about it but with the amount of EU there is it would be hard doing your own movies without contradicting it. It was a good idea for Disney to declare nearly everything in the EU not canon. That way they are free to do their own thing. It was kinda dumb for them to make the periods that take place hundreds or thousands of years before their movies non-canon. But they can always go back to that stuff look though the more popular ones or ones that would go with what their doing and make them canon again.
it's a shame too, because there is a lot of good stuff in it. Honestly, I think considering the EU(at least the stuff that took place within a time period relevant to the movies)non-canon to the movies is the best the thing they could have done.

Oh, so you're cool with gays now?
I've been cool with the idea that they are free to make their own choices. I'm not here to order them around or condemn them.
Does the Bible speak out against it? Yes. Does the Bible tell me to make people live Biblically by force? No.
I'm supposed to love all sinners for I am one too.
The bible speaks against it and for it. The was a gay couple that god really loved. Can't exactly remember their names... so someone else do that for me.
it was Adam and Steve.

It's not giant or anything and it's post-WWII but I wouldn't want one of these pointed in my direction.

I wouldn't want to be pointing one of those in any direction.
look at it this way if you're pointing it you might die of cancer in the next couple decades or go blind if you don't shield your eyes. If it's pointed at you, you die immediately, along with everything else out to 500ft from the blast. Those out to 400m get to die slowly and painfully from burns and radiation poisoning. I'd rather fire it than have it fired at me.

I fucking love the Crocket.
>1 mile firing range >3 mile fallout area
Only the DoD would think this is a good idea...
irradiating your own balls. Apparently West Germany fell in love w/ these things.

The Empire was a galaxy spanning entity. Do you really think it would just go away because they killed the emperor and blew up DStar II?

If sith and jedi were concerned about practicality they'd use blasters.

Look closely, there is an inch or two of the hilt that is part of the lightsaber handle, unless he's a total clumsy cunt then I don't see a problem. I rather like the new design, it looks like a sci fi bastard sword, not a super long glowstick.
That mask, why do I get the feeling that it looks like Revans mask.
I heard that character is a collector of force artifacts. Perhaps he came about Revan's shit somewhere.
