For the foreseeable future I don't think I'll be able to part with all of the meatbag components just yet.
You have to take these opportunities as and when they present themselves too, plus there is the whole deal where lots of minor surgeries isn't as risky as a straight up brain transplant <_<

Aaaaaand most unfortunate of all is the robophobia most meatbags have (In recognition of their inferiority) so it might make being a shrink rather difficult if I don't have a human face. So it might have to be subtle augmetics for a while there, unless they can do a synthetic version of 'leatherface' which could either be great and nobody would no the difference or would end up with me being sectioned <_<
Personally I would never see myself going full robot. Like the furthest I would go to is the cybernetic enhancement, kinda like Android 18. Imma go beat me some monkeys.
I'd go full utility cloud.
You would be like Batman...only more gassy!
I prefer the term diffuse, thank you.

Like I said before, guys, flight time, cycle count, and TSO numbers are a lot more important in figuring how reliable/safe an aircraft is going to be than it's age.

And even then... I can't speak for European regulations, but the FAA and manufacturers will time out a commercial aircraft's wings well before you should worry about them falling apart from general wear, and time extensions require extensive engineer support per aircraft.

I just don't see the motivation for Challenger's thoughts as viable.
that's what I tried to say except you sound like you know what you're talking about.

also, i have to ask ChallengerX if this is enough evidence for him to take the tinfoil hat off yet
Why the fuck do so many people ride my dick on the Internet? Fuck off you little sneak dissing faggot. Got something to say to me then quote me trick.

And no, this isn't proof to me. I firmly believe there's something going else on here.

no need to resort to pettiness friend, i was merely curious. you're extremely reluctant to believe the current narrative, and it just doesnt make any sense to me because all the evidence backs it up. and like, what do you have to go on other than a gut feeling that something isnt right?
I trust my gut over the media any day of the week. You can screencap that and bring it up as many times as you like.

It sure does, Marill.
alright, ill bite. the only other plausible alternative to this narrative is that there was a technical malfunction. i suppose "terrorism" is still on the board too but i dont think thats what youre aiming for. why do you think that the news agencies would fabricate and focus on the story of an individual pilot, with a history of mental illness, instead of a technical malfunction? is the company's image tarnished more by a malfunction, or by the fact that they let a potentially dangerous man fly a passenger plane? whats their motive for misleading us? do you have ANY factual sources?
I don't care how stupid it makes me look, this just doesn't feel right. And 8 times out of 10 when something doesn't feel right, it isn't. I'll take those odds.

The story they're portraying doesn't add up. And the Harvard professor thing to me just seems desperate, like "LOOK GUYS PEOPLE ARE SURPRISED AT HOW A PERSON THEY KNOW AND SEE EVERY DAY CAN BE SEVERELY DEPRESSED WITHOUT ANYBODY NOTICING, NOT EVEN OUR COMPANY PSYCHOLOGISTS"

It's a cover up so people don't get afraid at the fact that 25 year old planes are risky to fly on and most of the fleet in the world is over 30 years old.
> And 8 times out of 10 when something doesn't feel right, it isn't. I'll take those odds.

That's confirmation bias.

But the lifetime of the planes is a good point. Aluminum can only take so many oscillations before rending like butter(well, comparatively), although I cant remember what the limit is. One of the prices we have to pay for reduced weight of the aluminum.

I'm still unconvinced that this is just some big coverup. Have they released the tapes?
I haven't heard or read anything about public disclosure yet, though I'm sure they're just waiting for the official results of the investigation.

Now, if they don't ever actually let us hear the recordings, I'll be more inclined to side with Challenger on this.
I think I'll ask my Dynamics professor about the age of the planes. He has a PhD in Aerospace engineering...he's also German, it'll be interesting to see what he has to say.

idk what to say about mcdonalds, but the picture you added got me thinking, and if youre using that to make a funny little quip about slave labor its not entirely accurate (though i did get a chuckle out of it)

obviously the pyramids were built over a long period of time and, as such, the methodology was bound to change over time, but something ive recently stumbled across is the fact that pyramid builders werent slaves (on the whole.) instead, they were mostly skilled laborers, organized into teams (with funny names like the Drunkards of Mekaure) and employed on a rotating basis. the evidence shows that these laborers were compensated well, eating great prime beef and sleeping in special "dorms."

some cool reading can be found here:

and thats my off-topic on-topic post for today
that's really interesting, learn something new everyday.

Pls give me a logical argument as to why Goku could beat Supes. For the life of me I just can't grasp it.

Old school campy bullshit supes? Sure. Modern  varieties? Fat chance if you ask me.

I know this isn't exactly on topic, sorry.

I'm glad to see you all were entertained by my post, but I was hoping the "are you not entertained" at the end of it would have made it obvious that I was half-joking. But given the direction this thread was going in for me, and my increasingly not-nice replies made a spergout expected. Especially since those unwelcome antics from a certain he-who-shall-not-be-named >.>

I could have just stopped replying, but I shot myself in the foot instead <.<

I think it would be a lost cause to try to salvage this thread. I don't think I'd have the time or interest to keep going (and I'm not winning here anyway), but more importantly I don't think anyone would take me seriously at this point... or ever again.

Oops. >.>

Smallpox and influenza are viral. I didn't think vaccines suffered from the same drawbacks as antibiotics like penicillin, namely that bacteria populations become more resistant to quickly for us to keep up.

I'd wipe your channel from Youtube.

The most punishing thing about it for you would probably be watching everybody else weep tears of joy, however.

God damnit, get angry with me. I need somebody to toy with.
I can fake it? Like all those women you failed to satisfy.
