I had other notions in my post but I'm kinda garbled at the moment to properly explain where I'm getting at. My thinking is more along the lines that news outlets should be responsible for reporting what's up and nothing more. If you want to go to a fact check section than that's fine too, but keep it seperate. It seems like today there's too much personal opinion involved in reporting events rather than actually just reporting them for what they are at base value. And, while there's panels and sections devoted for discussion on events hosted by news networks, we come back to the issue of being heavily biased and leaning in favor towards one side. This ends up making a collection of news networks doing the whole "my side your side" bullshit so much that now you have to personally fact check what the news is spewing to verify their slanted content. So what's worse? An outlet not calling anybody out on their bullshit but merely showing the statement at face value? Or an outlet that leans in favor to a certain side and never really shows the whole deal up front? Personally, watching networks perpetreate the "my side your side" mentality that seems to be going around in force these days is agonizing. I just want to listen to what's up. Not have to fact check what the fuck the news is saying because I know that they aren't actually telling the whole story.

Any interesting shit to talk about since you're drunk?
Ask. Not like this is unique.
You're 40 something right? What keeps you coming back here?
I used to work with a contractor in his 40's and it's just out of place to imagine him sitting down and stopping by a place like this.
A few types of gen x'ers. I am one of the ones who loved computers and gaming. My dad gave me a Timex modular computer for my 5th birthday. The HD was a tape deck. Cool shit. Took 20 minutes to load a simple 2 bit game.
It's just who I am.
I ain't complaining. You're roughly mid-lifespan now though. Any plans or goals for later on?
My buddy and I invented a condensater that can run on less power than a 60w lightbulb. Prop 64 passed in California. While cities can deny pot being sold in their jurisdictions, they can't regulate growing up to 4 plants. We have a product and a market. Just need the capital to execute.
I had a friend who tried his luck at slipping into the whole youtube money craze when that ball started rolling. If you're planning on selling then what's going to set you apart from all the others who're inevitably going to try and sell as well?

I don't have to since there isn't one in the first place. If you're asking for a how-to-tutorial on not how to be a sack of potatoes? Be put into the position of the one being shit on and either helpless to do anything about it or hesitant to. Now repeat this process for a few years. If you're a semi-intelligent human being you'll have learned to value the fragility of other people's well being and opt not to destroy it with your own hands.

I don't think you can really have an unbiased news source without them leaning towards one side or the other. It's very difficult by nature to hold an unbiased stance when you're talking about a subject.
Plus, think about it. An unbiased news source would bore most people. They'd get straight to the point, take no sides while making a general informative statement about the event, and be done.
While I believe that's the way to go in general, for most people, it just wouldn't be the news without shilling and sensationalism.

So this is what civil war in Detroit looks like?
No. The apes would have to lose for it to be an accurate depiction.

I don't like watching trailers much these days.
I remember walking into the first two movies with blank expectations and coming out impressed. They were decently solid films. Here's hoping that the third time holds true?

Haven't checked the state of what's downstairs for the better part of half the year. All I know is that it's dead on all accounts now.

Food intolerance is shit. I'm extremely sensitive to sugar and carbs but somehow was spared of celiac. Makes no difference in the end, I still can't eat bread or pasta.
wow, i'd be fucking dead

You're really not missing out on anything from bread unless you just like the flavor.

No encounters with Celiac in my personal life. Dunno what it is other than basic guesswork based off your descriptions. Dunno if it poses any serious danger or just mild issues.
Asking what to do about it? You know more than I do. If you know the extent of what it poses, but you don't want to see a doc, then just cut out the stuff that's giving you issues for a small time span and see where it goes from there. If it persists then you know you've gotta go visit the doc.
Basically, gluten causes inflammation along the walls of the digestion system and hampers the body's ability to take in nutrients. Inflammation causes issues on its own, such as bloating, nausea, and problems with bowel movement. The nutritional issue can cause stagnation in growth and malnutrition.
Can also cause rashes, irritability, etc. The normal allergy things.
Well fuck gluten then.
This only happens if you have Celiac. Otherwise, gluten is just another wonderful nutrient.
I shalln't retract my previous statement.

This. This is the start of the idiocracy.
We already dumbed our entertainment down. Everything is a derivitive rehash. Civility is gone from politics. Reddit and 4chan are creating actual news. May as well start watering the plants with Brawndo
I don't think there was ever any civility to begin with charlie. It's always been underhanded backstabbing tactics with a mask of civility up front. As far as I'm concerned, that's not really civility.

As a little young teenage goblin, I was both of those things.
When I was younger I was fat. As you're well aware fat kids have a wonderful time in school with all the people blessed with better metabolisms and faster growth spurts. Being fat and knowing it is all around uncomfortable. You're not agile, you sweat like a pig at the slightest sign of activity, and it takes so much starting effort to overcome being overweight.
But me being poor? For starters, I've never asked for much to begin with. I don't care about money and if it up and vanished overnight I wouldn't miss it. Plus, I know that if I ever do need money, it's the easiest thing out there to acquire, unlike a body with no predispositions for being fat.
I'd take bumfuck broke any day.

Thank god we have new stances and a big forge crab.
No need for 1 flag or fixed assault gametypes!
Both of those things have been dead since Halo Reach. Not even the most accomplished Necromancer could revive those.

Not really. I used to just wake up and start moving. I didn't think about anything of the day. Although nowadays it's more like that. When I wake up now I've gotta familerize and reorient myself with present time and my whereabouts. Sometimes when I go under for multiple days I'm moved around a bit.

On the subject of docs and medical care. I've had to pass along through more docs than I care for. And, this isn't to say that all the doctors out there are soulless money grubbers that dole out pills for every problem they encounter. I think it's just so commonplace today and so enforced and normalized that modern doctors today don't have much of a choice in how they can actually go about treating a patient. But out of all the doctors I've seen, there's only ever been one who really fit the bill of what I think it means to be a doctor. This guy is overworked to hell and on station almost all days of the year. His time is very limited. None the less, when you go to see him with a problem, he listens. He doesn't dole out pills automatically like so many others do. He actually has a discussion with you about what's wrong, tries to get down to the core of it, and suggests what you can do yourself to help fix it if you're able to. If he does dole out pills, he informs you of all the possible issues you could have and what to watch out for, and if he's able, tries to find alternatives if you don't want to go that route. That to me is what all docs should try to be like. He goes out of his way to help.
