And then there's spiders and mantises who go for a real one night stand.

how pointless

"i have more space!"

why do you need more space

do you know how to minimize windows

It enables master multitasking for certain projects that couldn't be done normally with just one monitor.

How on Earth did this thread go from Russian operatives to Ian's ability to live in the Alaskan wilderness?

Russia is in the north. Alaskan wilderness is in the north.

Ian confirmed russian spy.

It's impossible because it'd be hard? If you're instructed right it's possible, but I never said it'd be easy.

You're niave if you think you'd fare well up there Ian.

Trust me when I say that surviving up in the north isn't about instruction alone. It's not just some manual that you can read and jump into. There are other factors involved, much more than you taking a "point a leads to point b" approach.

I'm just gonna pop in to say ayyy lmao at Ian. Chances are I'm the closest person on this site to the polar circle.

I've worked in -40c and my lifestyle is halfways in the wild. I'd be the first person to say that I'd have no chance in alaskan wilderness. I might survive briefly due to what I do know, but chances are I'd end up dead. You're niave if you think you'd fare well up there Ian.

Rule of thumb if it'll fuck with the sleep then it can get the fuck out.

How are you alive?

There's a lot of crutches and duct tape holding together what's left.

Details on the death?
Not sure yet. The obituary in my area doesn't say anything on the details of the death, and none of my close friends know either.

My best bet would probably be drugs seeing as how he turned into a bit of a degenerate.

Would've been one of my first thoughts too. What're your thoughts on the thing? Good riddance or that odd form of pity?
Can't say I feel anything but mild bewilderment seeing as how he's the second person I knew personally that died outside my immediate family. The guy was a borderline sociopath that was never gonna contribute anything substantial to society, so part of me feels somewhat glad in that aspect, but I have never wished for his death despite what he put me through.

Odd kinda pity then I guess. I know the feeling. What kind of trouble did he give? Verbal shit or physical?
A combination of both, I guess.

It was a weird kind of relationship because we were somewhat "buddies" at one point, but because of his erratic behaviour he would turn into this abusive shithead at a whim, which he then started to enjoy over friendship, if he even understood the concept.

Needless to say he dropped out halfway through high school, and I never heard from him again until now.

Know that one for sure. If he was unstable maybe it was suicide. Weird feeling though ain't it? Same with bumping into old classmates. It's like there was a relationship, but not enough to really count as one.

>21st century
>actually gets bullied

lol

Dunno about op but last time I checked getting punched and ganged up on by kids could've been tossed into that category unless you're living in some utopia where kids have all magically evolved beyond being little shitheads.

Is this something kind of white high school love movie? With jocks and nerds and bullies? My high school nobody gave enough of a fuck about people to bully them and if someone did fight you're basically automatically kicked out if school

Na. Something out of a rural town countryside school. Kids didn't get kicked out since usually fights happened after school. Passive agressive shit when school was on.

No jocks and nerds, just about 4-5 tiers of different social standings.

Different lifestyles, different needs.
Sure thing. I'm not telling you to get one either, I just think you're a little quick to dismiss it as just another trend. It's as well adopted as the internet and a real necessity for many of us. You might not need or even want a mobile phone, but using one is far from jumping on the bandwagon at this point.

At the time I couldn't think of another term to use.

The Flood / Re: Phones

I can see the usages for it. It applies to location. Useful in the city. Less so out here.

Where I live there aren't enough towers to broadcast the signals between populations resulting in large communication deadzones. Anything to do with weather and climate, I learned about wind direction and cloud types and packed the right gear with me at all times. For work, most of the jobs up here aren't so heavy on the paperwork or timing changes.

And I know some of what you listed comes down to personal lifestyle. I woke up on my own or when the sun rose. I moved around enough that it was difficult to ever really be bored with the exception of winters. Always used to cooking my own food. Catching up with the news happened after work at the day's end.

Different lifestyles, different needs.

The Flood / Re: Which is a darker story: Children of Men or The Road?
« on: December 29, 2016, 01:00:39 AM »
I'm gonna disagree. After the man died, a family took the boy in. Giving hope that eventually we could overcome our selfishness. Both give hope in a statistical sample set of one.

Now that I think about it. They're the same story.

The strangers at the end of The Road could be anybody. Their intent and motive is completely unknown and for all we know the kid could've just ended up with a bunch more cannibals or worse.

Children of men offered hope. The Road did not. Clear choice.

Never jumped on the phone bandwagon for some reason.

Why'd you guys jump on board when that trend started?
It has nothing to do with trends they're convenient for people who live in developed areas.

I get that they're handy if an issue comes up but it seems like the bulk of their usage goes elsewhere.

Skyrim would be good if they just let all the big titty mods in for the xbone.

I have one, but it has gotten removed. Luckily they can't take it and I can fap at will

Legit question. Really?

So far all attempts with it have been respectful/proffessional I think.
Have you not seen The Mummy Returns?

I may or may not have. If I did, it's not in my memories.
