« on: February 14, 2017, 11:42:39 AM »
The true reason why women

HATE RAP

Do you want to know why women hate rap? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? It's for two reasons.

1.Rap doesn't allow women to monetize her talent.  :'( :'( :'( Objectively rap is merely inserting a mic into her mouth. Something that she has done already a hundred or a thousand times :P :P :P The difference is that this time around she gets nothing in return :o :o :o

RAP IS HEIST :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

2. Rap ignores woman's musician status :'( :'( :'( Usually a woman relies on male talent and male willingness to  get the job done for her because she's female. But this time her wish(that she become a rap star) is ignored >:( >:( >:( >:(
Rap is lese-majeste! :P :P :P

RAP CULTURE

Now you know what "Rap Culture™" means. It means we live in a society were music is cheap (or even free) :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o pictures of real musicians are easily availible and men don't treat women as musicians anymore like they did in previous centuries.

"Rap is horrible"

It's important to understand that women don't hate rap "because rap is so horrible." ??? Men hate it far less. Why? Because men don't arrogantly consider themselves musicians, and men know that their value consists of more than just microphones and screaming 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

It's a quote.

I think people that are going to achieve things would do them regardless without the quotes.

Hard to say on what I'd consider a victory. So many of our works, even good ones, seem to be a double edged sword. They may not intentionally have that double edge by default, but leave it to somebody to find a way to abuse it.

Closest I can think of as a full victory for all of humankind would be evolutionary progress as a whole. Leaving behind all of our old evolutionary baggage that results in so much of our creations having a double edged sword in the first place. Greed, anger, hate, jealousy, that sort of stuff.

Growing up/coming of age in the 70's would've legit been the fucking dream though (for those who missed the draft in the US). No decade was perfect by any means but fucking imagine being able to go straight into an unskilled job out of school without fuss or being fucked around perpetually by incompetent HR, earning an income a third of the median house price in an absolute prime location. Don't even get me started on the easy access to some of the fastest appreciating cars known to man, Woodstock and the lax road safety laws.

If I had a choice of time to live in I'd pick it somewhere in the 1700-1800s in canada.

Lot of assholes back then but a lot of space to keep them apart too.

Rough but simple times. No extra worries and additional baggage that comes with today's world. Just one goal, survival, and the rest was up to you. Would've liked to see some of the natives up here too.

S1 finale has it partially explained, pretty much the brain "restarts" after death, but it only controls functions needed for movement.

How the energy is produced to keep those muscles moving is beyond the point of the show. The zombies are the initial crisis, but they don't have to make sense, they just have to be. How they're reacted to, by humans as individuals and societies, is where the real conflict lies.

I get that. But the show stretches that when it shows me toasty the zombie in a biker helmet who's been burned to near ash still able to move or the two peachy waterlogged toilet abominations in the sewers of Alexandria.

In both cases there's no muscle left at that point.
That's what I said - the logic of how the zombies function isn't important. It's magic, karma, Allah's wrath, whatever. The show is disliked by Romero for the same reason it's actually good: it's not about the zombies.

I was also thinking as I watched, the drama would intensify big time if the show had runners as oppossed to only walkers. They seemed to do a decent job of doing some tension in certain scenes with walkers. But if they added runners that'd change the game.

They're like basically an unexplained plot device and just require a little suspension of belief to enjoy the rest of the show. TWD is less about zombies (not that that isn't a fair bit of screentime in some episodes) and more, like class said, about the people with their different factions reacting to the crisis and the new world in which they live.
It's a soap opera with gore... and I'm not ashamed to like it.

Admit it you just like it because it has sexy cadavers walking around.
I like my cute dead girls to be not moving and offer me no resistance.

That just means you gotta step up your bondage game.

Never saw any episodes beforehand but holy shit that prank with the dude who got "eaten" when surrounded on a dumpster and then a couple episodes later got saved by the camera angle before crawling under the dumpster was pretty funny.

Then like five episdoes of filler later he gets conked on the head.

There was a marathon for last season or something. My question is, has the show ever given a reason as to what makes the zoombies tick? Ignoring real world physics of course.

Of the stuff I watched, in a couple episodes they had corpses that were basically as close as you could get to being skeletons and they were still moving around.

I've seen the footage of some of those protestors on the roads. Blocking the way, sure. I'd nudge through slowly. But if they started attacking like they did in some, hit the gas.

From the trailers alone, Atriox seems like a badass and memorable enemy.

I'm gonna use this post as an anchor to bring up a random thought I had today.

Happened to be thinking about all we know about Brutes. We know that they're deadly in their own right but when you throw one into the mix who has above average intelligence they become incredibly dangerous.

And I got around to thinking, that of all the various species shown in the series, even though Brutes stand out less in terms of uniqeness (not reptilian, crustacean, or insectoid, or other) and they don't have a unique spin on their physiology like other races, I think something else sets them apart and makes them terrifying as a concept.

They're us. They're all the primal instincts and raw strength. They're the old barbaric practices in our history and the crude practices we have today. As a concept they touch onto the darker corners of what we are as a species, with the only difference being that they do it better.

That's part of the reason they became my favorite alien race in Halo. I really liked how in 3 they went back to using their own projectile weaponry instead of continuing to use the plasma based weaponry the elites preferred. I'm hoping we get to see more of their weaponry in Halo 6 as we really only got their grenade launcher, grenade, hammer, smg, and pistol in 3.

Some part of me wishes I could do concept art. Or it'd be nice if I had the specs for 3d modelling.

Brute homeworld is highly volcanic. Probably lots of obsidian around. I was thinking of a brute shotgun esque weapon that's fed chunks of obsidian as ammunition and then a firing mechanism splinters the chunk into shards when fired.

Not that I'd be able to play anyway, but I'll sit back watch the show.

I remember reading an interview years back with bioware and a clear statement was made that once the trilogy was done, they were going to move on. I was okay with that. A series that knows when to end is better than a series that doesn't. At the time I was hoping three was going to go better than it turned out.

With that added smudge alongside them going back on their statement, Andromeda is a game I'd never touch anyway.

Apparently my body still remembers what near spring time is.

I'm restless to the point that if I don't keep a handle on things I'd be out there starting fights and going for the adrenaline high of throwing people around.

Which is funny because I'm stuck to this bed.

Honestly I think your faggot sibling needs to pick up the slack.

Would you like living with your grandparents? How would your father feel about this?
I would dearly love the little bastard to do so, or at the very least stop causing so much other shit for the family with his endless stupidity. We got rid of one problem by shipping him off to mother's, and now this retard decides he's going to step up to the plate in the degeneracy olympics.

I'd love to live there honestly.

The difference it makes when you are in a home with people who genuinely appreciate things you do for them, is astounding. Here it feels more like being a caretaker in a building full of autistic chimpanzees.

The only problem with me going there, is that shit would fall apart in the asylum. The dogs would never get walked, barely get fed on time, let alone have any interaction from people. The grocery delivery wouldn't happen and food would quite literally fester in the fridge because they can't be fucked to throw it away.

I'm just tired of it really. Absolutely exhausted with their unhelpful selfish attitudes.

That's when you put your foot down matey. When you're doing something charitable or "nice" for somebody, or even a job in general, there's always something very important to consider. Especially if it's a job.

If somebody gives you shit, ask yourself. "Am I being paid for this?" If the answer is no, then it's time to leave. Let people fend for themselves and their own choices.
Yeah, sadly it's not so simple for family.

You bet your ass it is. Family count as people and people make their own lifestyle choices. You can either help them as much as you're able to within a rational, sane parameter, but if they aren't going to help themselves then that's on them, not you.
Hm, I suppose.

It's just the rare times I need help from them that wind me up. Getting them to do anything is such an arduous and unreliable effort that it's simply easier to DIY.

So the obvious answer is to stop helping them, but I've still got this automatic 'help' switch going. If someone needs a hand, the answer is yes. I know I shouldn't think like that, but I can't really help it (irony).

Same problem with me.

Eventually it'll happen to you. You'll be so tied up in everybody else's shit that it'll be like a black hole and you won't feel in control of your life anymore. You'll expend so much effort and time and energy and a lot of people will never, ever hold up their end of the stick. You'll be carrying the stick and the person.

I get the need to help people. But you have to rationalize it. Your life, and your priorities have to come first. You help when you're able to. But when it overrides your life, it will catch up to you and believe me it will take a massive toll on you. You have to know when to put your foot down.

Maybe you don't have to leave outright. But a break wouldn't hurt.
How though?

It's just alien to think of saying 'no' when someone asks you for help, like I can't actually think of a way to say no that wouldn't feel terrible.

I've never directly said "no" to anybody who asked for help.

I'll tell them either that I'm doing something that requires a lot of my attention or time but tell them when I'll have some free time to either help later, or I'll go halfway. I'll offer them as much as I'm able to do there and then, but leave a window of time for myself to do my shit too.
