Seems I'm gonna have to start really looking for a job now.

My dad's making more money than he's ever made in his life, which is pretty great, but it hurts my financial aid for college. Because my parents' joint income is now larger, I'm getting less and less loans to help pay off my debts. This semester, it's gotten to a point where I'm now in need of about $2K by November--money I clearly don't have, and even if my parents could help me pay it off, I wouldn't just take money from my parents like that.

I'm gonna have to see if I can do some kind of work study, or maybe get myself an apartment so I can get more loans next semester. Otherwise, I literally have no way of paying, and I'll have to just drop out, I guess.

Life sucks. Hard.
okay

So, not only am I unable to get a work study because of my parents' income--I can't even get my own apartment, because people under the age of twenty-fucking-four are considered dependent, regardless of whether they actually live with their parents or not. There are ways around it, but they're all beyond my reach at this point. So if I got myself an apartment, it would not help my situation at all, because my parent's income will always be taken into account with regards to my FAFSA.

Also, even if I were to get a job, that would obviously increase my family's income even further. So even if I continue college on top of being employed, trying to pay off my debts, I would receive even less financial aid, because they expect your parents to pitch in every step of the way. Which is fucking ridiculous and out of the question (and even if they wanted to, they literally couldn't, because they simply don't make enough money, despite what the state thinks).

I might just drop the fuck out. Seriously. Fuck this bullshit.
why not find some scholarships?

moving a a couple and a half hours away from my house to university on saturday

Scared or excited about it?
excited honestly, i need time from my family since theyre (my mom mostly like 99%) are overprotective faggots about me staying out anytime late past 10 or even 9. i dislike the city so i wanna go to place more quiet and relaxed with stars in the sky. plus i love what im studying for. only drawback is the growing up part, leaving the girlfriend in the city for the time being, leaving friends behind for a while, and less food from family. its something i probably need in life to experience.

Hope it goes well gasai. Personal space is a nice thing to have.
well my dorm has 2 other people, but i do own a telescope to answer the other question, just a normal ascension / declination telescope, very basic
