Doing pretty well right now. Just got my grades for the quarter and I got a 3.6 GPA. And I may be off to Germany sooner than two years in fact. So I may even be there at the start of 2016! That'd be just amazing. :?)

You realize almost all of those crimes are committed with illegally obtained firearms, right? A very large part of those "illegal" firearms were once legal. There's no underground criminal factories that just pump out illegal guns to be used in crimes, you know. Those guns come from somewhere. The people who are willing to follow the laws and buy guns legally are not the ones killing each other. Wrong. Your "law abiding citizen" is responsible for hundreds of those deaths. Simply because, shockingly enough, there is no way to tell what people are going to behave responsibly with their gun and not just whip it out in a heated argument.You'll also notice a suspiciously large portion of these crimes occur in cities with heavy gun control.
Which have very little to do with each other. Those cities are almost all traditional gangster or gang cities. It's not the heavy gun control that causes crime, it's the high crime that causes gun control. For example, Chicago, being the #1 argument pro-gun people like to bring up here, actually drastically lowered its crime rate after instituting stricter gun control laws.
You have a really good point with the whole "law abiding citizen" thing. But I do think that the "gun" problem is more of an inequality/Demographic problem. There's a gigantic correlation between poverty and violence, and if they have guns. Well, that's just their mean. Look at Chicago and Detroit.
