This forum is now named Republic of Swage with me as its provisional President for the 2014-2015 term. Elections will happen next year, and here is this Republic's provisional flag (it will be put up to vote next year as well). You have a good point there, but the US politicians are so stupid (or evil), that they've managed to pass more "security" legislation in the 5 years after 9/11 than they did during the entire 46-year Cold War.

I almost made the terrible mistake of going to college in Chicago for $20k a year. 2 days there I was so fucking sad and homesick. I used to think I hated Oklahoma and wanted to leave immediately but I like it and I miss my family. So I'm headed back right now and I'm already enrolled at the college my mom works are which I can go to for free. I recalled my loan quick enough that I'm debt free and owe nothing to the school. I guess I just feel sort of like shit because I went around telling everyone that I was going to go to this out of state school which is a big deal in my town.

Oh, how I love these sorts of threads.
It's absolutely agonizing having to wait two years so I can leave the United States. Pretty much, my entire time spent here has been a waste. The shitty public school system I had to go through was against me, and a lot of the students there were against me as well. And anyone (namely the Psychologist in my High School) who was on my side was either shut up or forced out. Funny enough, all of the people I get along well with are other people I know who are extremely disgusted with the United States or first generation immigrants who realized it was a mistake to come here in the first place. The whole thing with the Public School (it was about 9 years) left a really bad mark on the way I see this country. And I'm not gonna spend my entire life jumping from state to state trying to find a place I like. I'd rather rid myself of this country and never have to deal with it again. So, yeah. Just a matter of time, and then I can have a fresh start to my new life as a European. :/
