If you want a system right now go for the WiiU, cheaper, you can play Zelda BoTW and there's an array of other games at a reduced price. There's nothing majorly wrong with the Switch but you should wait a few months either for a price drop, more games or a revised edition.

Total War Attila - Plays like Rome 2 but better and has nice apocalyptic undertones.
Wargame Red Dragon - Best take on modern RTS currently available on the market, fast paced, tactical and requires a lot of situational awareness. Highly recommend.
Tabletop simulator - Just plain simple fun if you have a group to play with.
Cossacks 3 - Golden Era RTS remake, self explanatory.
EU4 - In depth grand strategy, very hit and miss for most people lots of focus on government, military and politics, there's quite a learning curve.
Rocket League - Same as tabletop sim.
Cities Skyline - Simcity but infinitely better.
Hearts of Iron 4 - WW2 grand strategy, plays like EU4 but with more focus on military rather than governments.

Well my main problem is that it results in people just leeching off these commentators to support their views rather than justifying it themselves, it creates a cult of personality where people support ideas because of the person presenting them and I find that incredibly petty. Sorry, I feel like I made a large presumption and I haven't written enough to justify it but my heart has been racing and my head is pounding.
