Meanwhile, people are using #PorteOuverte to designate places of safety on social media.
Oh yeah sure, broadcast where people are taking refuge in large masses on the internet for everyone to see. Nothing could possibly go wrong.
They're not gathering in big groups, people are offering those with nowhere to go a bed or something until the situation stabilises. They're reaching out through twitter and giving locations via DMs of which are private. Can you please inform yourself a little before you post.

Pretty soon we're going to find that all these war contracts prohibiting the use of certain kinds of warfare are going to mean jack-squat. Guerrilla warfare means they won't be playing by any rules.
Because up until now they've been following any sort of rules? What are you on about?
Phrased it wrong. What I meant to say is that we may see even more horrific things happen in the future that should otherwise be banned under the Geneva Convention.
I don't know if you just heard about Isis or not but they don't give a shit about the Geneva convention
Yeah uh...durr, that's my point.
My bad then?? Either I'm really sleepy and my comprehension is fucked or your phrasing is just off

This is why we should just nuke the middle east
I'd rather not send radiation into the atmosphere and have it swept back to me
Why not? It'd be like Fallout 4 irl

US air support is good for the opposition fighting ISIS. Progress is just slow because isis are cowards and don't fight in a traditional manner, they leave it up to IEDs and booby traps and unlike isis the opposition forces care about their soldiers so they'd rather not risk casualties by carelessly storming every village and city.
These attacks could be in response to the ground they're losing, as a sort of way to vent their anger. Their forces are encircled in Ramadi and are being attacked from 3 fronts, they recently just lost beji, and sinjar. As for Syria, Assad's army are making gains against them in Aleppo while the kurds took over 60 villages from them in just 3 days.

If the attacks in Paris, Egypt and Lebanon were all directed by ISIS Central, it represents a major shift in its global strategy considering up until now it's only been focusing on local areas in the Levant.
Curious if the news regarding Jihadi John prompted this.
That's definitely one of the possibilities, France also did recently announce its sending it's aircraft carrier to start attacks in Syria.

Follow the British model, limit how much universities can charge so the prices aren't extortionate and make it easier to pay it back.
Why limit them? Its a choice, if people are willing to pay 60k a year to go to NYU, then let them.
You could easily go to a CC for 4k a year or just not go to college at all.
Well by letting universities charge what they want they essentially become an option only for the rich.

Teaches them for allowing refugees. I hope they rethink after this.
Because the refugees are responsible for this right? 30 people are dead and all you have to say for it is "blame the refugees"

ISIS sleeper cells reacting to the French aircraft carrier heading to the middle east??? I wouldn't be surprised, they're the prime suspects for the Russian airliner bombing and more recently the bombings in Beirut.
