Huh.
She supports the regime. I'm not a fan of the rebels but the regime is not so much better.

Gaming / Total War: Warhammer Megathread - Psy get a fucking PC edition

[Mainly doing this cuz I'm bored]

Announcement trailer:
YouTube

Release date: 28th of April (Also my B day so you know what to get me  ;))

So what is dis bitch ur talkin' bout goots? Well Total War is an old strategy franchise typically focused on historical settings but now they're branching off into fantasy which is a very welcomed switch this allows far more interesting units because FUCKING GRIFFINS anyway the game features two main parts, a turn by turn stage which features a map of the game where you can control your armies, agents, settlements and interact with other factions through diplomacy amongst many other mechanics present in the game the other section is in real time where you control your armies in large battles. There's no need for me to explain this part of the game just watch.

Each faction will have access to their own unique units. For instance, the Greenskins faction features units such as Trolls, Giants and Arachnarok spiders. The Empire is a human faction, which features units like Steam Tanks. Each faction will have their own unique campaign element. For example, a "Waaagh" system, which pushes the player to be constantly on the warpath, is unique to the Greenskins faction. A new quest mode featuring battles such as the "The Battle of Blackfire Pass" tasks players to complete missions and battles to receive unlockable items and abilities, will be one of the new game modes offered in Warhammer. Flying creatures, such as dragons, will also make appearances in the game. The campaign map is somewhat similar to the one in Attila with the exception being the diversity in physical terrain and climate as one moves from a particular point in the map to another. The campaign map spans from the Chaos wastes in the north to the Greenskin infested badlands in the south and from the Great Ocean in the west to the Dwarven realms in the World's Edge mountains to the east. Magic will also be one of the elements introduced in Warhammer with most of the factions such as the Empire and Vampire Counts having access to the various lores of magic and certain factions such as the Dwarves and some non-Playable AI controlled factions having absolutely none or limited access to magic.

Unlike other Total War games, agents, such as Karl Franz, will be featured in battles as well as the campaign map. Named agents can get injured in battles, while the unnamed ones could be killed and cannot be revived and used again. Total War: Warhammer features a wider variety of animations. For example, 30 types of different skeletons and body types will be introduced in the game, instead of only five to six types as in its predecessors, as well as flying units. Other gameplay features from the Total War series, such as city-building, diplomacy and unit-building, will remain unchanged in Warhammer.

The developers are trying to find a balance between sticking to the lore and traditional Total War game-play elements and (so far for me it's ok but I'm generally not very picky >.>) what this means is that no more complete control over the map which is something that has been available to players for a while however the reasoning makes sense when you take into consideration the lore. Corruption (not to be confused with economic corruption) will also feature in the game which is sort of like climate in the old games where as the campaign went on the cold came in from the north and spread, corruption works in the same sense but instead of just being cold it'll hinder your armies a lot more. It will be more of an external element caused by presence of Vampire Count and Chaos armies rather than internal factors.

Factions:

-The Dwarfs will suit players who prefer stability, dependability, defensive playstyles and earth-shattering firepower. A gunline defence, bolstered by small units of elite infantry, or a steady steamroller advance will typify most engagements, but be wary of flanking and baiting maneuverers which will easily shatter and draw out formations, exposing weaker support and ranged units to close combat.
The Dwarfs

The Dwarfs are an ancient race, once masters of a mighty empire, vast swathes of which are now lost to them. Yet they are driven by the need for vengeance, and remain defiant and unbowed. Dwarfs are shorter and stouter than Men, and are known for their broad shoulders, magnificent beards and dauntless hardiness. The most defining characteristic of Dwarfs, however, is a gruff and stubborn nature. Their innate obstinacy is the stuff of legends and countless tales speak of both the great fortunes and the tragedies of this immovable resolve. This tenacity is reflected in the makeup and strength of their armies, which are expert proponents of the defensive style of fighting, with heavily-armoured and unshakeable infantry sheltering deadly ranged units and a fearsome array of finely-engineered artillery. They do however lack any cavalry and so, with one or two exceptions, are resolutely slow-moving.
