The Flood / Re: Smartphone Advice
« on: October 16, 2014, 03:04:06 PM »
You say you don't use a phone for much so I don't suggest you get something pricey. There's just no point.

Errrr do you like nintendo emulators because you can get those on Android devices. They're more customisable and you can tune the phones more to your liking.

iPhones are pretty good too if you want a simplistic phone with a good design. (iphone 6 plus excluded, lol)
The customisablity is why I'm looking at Android now, yeah.. Plus, iPhone is pretty expensive. I know I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on this because I don't use my phone for all that much, but I do want something that isn't a few years old already. I want this to last me a while.
To be honest so are flagship android phones. The entry level HTC one and Samsung s5 are around £550 which is the same price of the iPhone 6.

To be honest I suggest the HTC one M7. It's got a nice design, similar to the iPhone in terms of build quality and it's been out for around a year so you can get it for pretty cheap. Plus spec wise its great and won't lack or go slow after a year.
What do you think of the Oneplus One?
It has a 5.5 inch screen, which is a bit overkill. Plus I don't like the OS. According to reviewers the HTC version of Android is the closest to vanilla android. (Vanilla android is supposedly the best)
Why don't you like the OS? Everyone I know that has an Android phone loves Cyanogenmod, even to the point that they invalidated their phone's warranty just to root it on there. Seems like everyone is raving about how good it is.
It's not bad, it's just that I prefer the look of vanilla android and while I would get an nexus device but they suck.
Why do they suck?
The internal hardware such as processor, ram and gpu are high end but the screen isn't of a high quality nor is the camera. I like taking pictures so a good camera is essential. Mind you I'm only talking about the currently released Nexus devices. I have yet to check out the new Nexus 6.

No permanent anarchy pls, too much shit slinging and porn. The flood goes dead whenever anarchy is active so it would affect the adsense anyway.

You could just split the males from the females, put them in different enclosures.
