It reminds me a lot of their scrapped title titan. I was kind of expecting a game with a whole new universe from them and an in depth story for me to indulge in but it just seems like blizzard are using their reputation to break into a gaming market that is already oversaturated. I can tell from the gameplay trailer that I'm not going to like it, I'm a big believer in the phrase don't judge a book by it's cover but I didn't enjoy TF2 at all and this is very reminiscent of that.

Byrne pls. Dark Souls 2 is a letdown after Dks1 and DeS, but it's nowhere near a shit game.
From what I've heard it isn't as good as DS 1 but I'm not expecting it be anyway. I just everything about Dark souls, the mysterious nature of it's story and lore, the combat, art style.

I played it for about two hours, enjoyed it, needed to grind a bit, got bored and haven't looked at it in a long time.
Meh I don't care much about hype for any game, but I agree the framerate issues are annoying even though I barely ever came across them in DS 1. As for the controls are you talking about dark souls 1 or 2 or both?

That all depends I suppose. If you were good at 1 then you will probably find some of the bosses in 2 pretty easy. I would say they're probably about the same, except if you include dlc then 2 would be longer.
