Can you be more specific? Cuz the middle east includes this (except the caucuses) so there's too much here for me to actually try and explain. Democratic elections where he was the only one running.
A country where only one man can run for president is a dictatorship.

Over 100k fighters have mobilised for this, should be a great spectacle. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-37674693An offensive to retake the city, Iraq's second largest, has been planned for months. Mosul has been under IS control since June 2014. The UN has warned that the humanitarian impact could be "enormous", and possibly affect up to 1.2 million people living in and around the city. The assault from Kurdish Peshmerga and Iraqi government forces is backed by the US-led coalition fighting IS in Iraq. Mosul is the group's last major stronghold in Iraq. The loss of the city, officials say, would mark the effective defeat of IS in the country. Lights over the city today

So it hasn't changed in the last few years then.
Last I heard about Israel taking in refugees back when the Syrian war was in it's infancy, Israel had taken in a grand total of... 4. Lebanon had 1 million in the same timespan, and still has them AFAIA (apparently those 4 were injured, were treated, then sent back to Syria).
They regularly take Al Qaeda fighters, give them medical help and then send them back to Syria.

I'm mostly putting my hopes on the next historical Total War
Same, while I did have a lot of fun initially with Warhammer I got only managed to clock 50 hours before getting bored whereas with Attila and Shogun I still play them. Mainly because I feel like there's no depth to the combat and everything revolves around the visuals of the fantasy characters like with this game I feel like can I never win a game unless I have an army with 20 stacks it's like there's no strategy. With Warhammer I actually enjoyed just auto'ing every battle and sticking to the campaign map. >People still play this game Lol
Yeah that's how I'm feeling with the game lately.
I've been like this for a while with regard to interest, I bought the new unit pack yesterday, tried it out in skirmish and quit after 5 minutes cuz it's just so ehhhh I hope they release the historical TW soon

To me, it seems like if Hillary wins, it'd be the same as Obama winning again -- there would be another 4 years of inertia.
I'd take 4 more years of Obama tbh, only with a stronger foreign policy stance
which Hillary is. She's Republican tier in hawkishness. If anything, I'd like her to show strength to Russia. Obama dun do it. Trump wouldn't do it.
Why? Because the Russians are helping the right people in Syria?
