This is what I plan to get in a year or so when I need to upgrade. Pretty great cpu/gpu, I'll probably change some things as parts get new releases and such but it gives me a good idea of what I'll need, budget etc

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/PQkvRG

Everything missing I already have or isn't on their lists.

I fell for the meme. Don't recommend anyone buys this until there's a pricr drop.
Why?
I've played 3 games up to 200 turns and while there are a few new mechanics you'll notice, changes in gameplay here and there I don't think any of it warrants the £50 price tag especially not if you have civ5 with all the DLC. The big thing they were stressing with this game was districts and how they will change the way you build your city but really it's just them taking all the buildings and organising them into sub labels and it's all rather superficial instead of innovative for example take the Zoo building from civ5, you could produce it nornally and it gives you happiness however in 6 you have to build an entertainment district in your city and then you get the option to build a Zoo which fulfils the amenities need since happiness has been removed. Same with military buildings instead of just constructing an armoury you have to build an encampment district and then you create one. I hope that explains what I mean by sub-labeling. Builders now have uses so when you use them to construct 3 times they disappear which is fucking retarded because I've got my cities producing shit that'll take a few turns I have to waste money. Diplomacy is better there's more options in what you can get up to with other civs which is nice. Reaching the next era is confusing this time around it doesn't define the prerequisites so it's hard to know when it'll happen, the in game encyclopedia is vague. I'm on mobile so I cba to write more, this game will replace Civ 5 for me for sure, but I'm not 100% convinced yet why I bought it thinking it would feel new, cool and be £40 well spent it doesn't feel worth that so far I might get there eventually. The first 30 minutes feel way too familar to me though I wanted much more from the next generation Civ especially since it has been 6 years.

I'm still waiting on news for the hardware and what kind of games it can run. £249 for a handheld is a straight no

One thing i very much dislike already is the amount of uses for builders. I may as well just keep producing them. Like I get we dont always need them but they could at least then make them cheaper

This is disappointing because I don't have faith in a handheld system that is also trying to be a home console but I will have to wait until I see more obviously

If the games are on 3ds style cards does that mean the performance hardware is in the tablet? If so how does it run something like Skyrim? I'm not a fag that cares about graphics but tablet bound hardware means it'll run like a potato

I dont get the trailer, I personally know it's a home/handheld console but the trailer doesn't really highlight that it makes it look like a large tablet console you can dock

Is there any RTS game where each side has an equal amount of soldiers and vehicles and have to eliminate all the soldiers in the enemy team before the enemy does the same thing to you?

EndWar, Sins of a Solar Empire, Myth, Dawn of War 2, Total War, etc.
I dunno about the others but that doesn't apply in Total war. Unless you're talking about skirmish where you can set an army budget

I don't know what Trumpets think is going to happen if he gets the presidency. He is not bigger, smarter and more cunning to outsmart and maneuver the status quo.

It's like trying to dislodge the Jews out the financial system, you can't do it.

If hundreds dying and getting wounded in urban fighting isn't the serious work I don't know what is. Going into the city looks to be a meat grinder.

Special forces come in small numbers and cannot spearhead full frontal assaults on cities. You realize special forces are sent in behind enemy lines, right? Often posing as the enemy. I'm talking above and beyond the special forces that we know about. This isn't the 1800's, they're not going to march into Mosul.

If special forces won't march into Mosul how do they dislodge anywhere between 4-10k ISIS fighters?

Quote
Like I said some decent soldiers isn't cutting it.

And ISIS isn't an army, they're terrorists. They don't really have the structure a real military has. Not that it suits Arabs either way.
All jihadi analysts/experts would disagree ISIS is an army they have officers, commanders, governors, emirs, units, battalions etc. Operating like a state with an Army is what made them different to all the other Jihadi groups it's why Al Qaeda kicked them out of the jihadi coalition and declared war. It's why foreigners ran to IS instead of others since they actually tried emulating a caliphate, they governed areas they took control of by giving jihadi's jobs, providing welfare, food rations, funding infrastructure, they even nearly started distributing currency, all they needed next was UN recognition.

I don't get what you're trying to say here.

I never said they're not helping Kurds. I said they're there training Iraqi soldiers too. But my point is Americans are the ones doing the real work.
I disagree with that on the premise of what I said before, special forces alone cannot do all the fighting they can capture leaders, embed with units and call airstrikes but they cannot take part in heavy street to street fighting in a city of over 2 million.

I'm aware that one of the main objectives is to train locals.

But if you honestly think that Kurds and Iraqis have been making these huge advancements in clearing out ISIS, I don't know what to tell you. It's just like in Libya where JTF2  and others were clearing the way for rebels.

Kurds haven't made any gains in the past year they have just held a frontline and unlike the Iraqis Western special forces are heavily embedded within them as shown by the number of special forces killed during operations with the Peshmerga. Say what you will about Arab armies I don't disagree that the Iraqi Army is corrupt, weak and incompetent but the Golden Division, ISOF whatever they're called is a pretty decent offensive military unit. They trained along US special forces in Jordan throughout 2004 until 2014, only recently moving the training base to Iraq. They are capable. Also in regard to Arab Armies isn't that what ISIS is? They got a large number of foreign fighters sure but they wouldn't have last this long if they weren't also local Syrians/Iraqis and they're not superhuman just zealots motivated thoroughly by religion.  Their strongest Chechen and other Central Asian units have been depleted hence the lack of an offensive capability post 2015.

Quote
Do you expect to find pictures of them during an operation? I don't get it.

Actually yes there's a shit ton of pictures of special forces with the Peshmerga.

Spoiler

And these are just pics from the recent Mosul offensive.

You do understand that the biggest reason the war against ISIS so far has been successful is because the US didnt just send soldiers to rolfstomp into Mosul? Obama's whole strategy has been training and empowering locals so that the US doesn't need to be there forever, you can make blanket statements all you want but US special forces are not doing all the heavy lifting. Search up all the photos of them they're always helping out Kurds in Syria or Iraq never the federal Iraqi government.

Alpha you know you can make a case for supporting Assad without lying right? It's pretty simple just argue that a rebel victory will result in a situation similar to the Taliban take over of Afghanistan whatever year that was and Assad while being a genocidal tyrant is the only counter because at least under his rule there resembles some sort of civility and order. There I refuted myself for you.

Can you be more specific? Cuz the middle east includes this (except the caucuses) so there's too much here for me to actually try and explain.

Democratic elections where he was the only  one running.
A country where only one man can run for president is a dictatorship.
Would you have called all of the great empires from the past, such as England, France, Spain, Russia, and China dictatorships? No. And you wouldn't for Syria. It is far closer to being a monarchy disguised as a democracy.
I refuse to believe you're being serious right now. Fucking lol
