Serious / Re: Assad regime recaptures all of Aleppo

And the MSM stil doesn't understand that the Syrian people are happy to be liberated by Assad's forces. You think the Syrian people themselves living under "moderate rebels"(terrorists) would know better than the West.
What does cheering the regime even mean if I can post videos where civilians are cheering on ISIS and other jihadi rebel groups taking over their territories? Does that mean ISIS and the other jihadis are "the good guys" too?

The fact that Syria was a stable country hostile to US and Israeli interests?

Stagnation, drought, mass migration from rural areas to cities with no institutions or economy to accommodate. Mind you I don't really consider a police state stability, and if the regime wanted to work against Western interests they could have improved their country not reduce its position through war. I think I've seen you previously comment on how Russia opposes the US to maintain sovereignty but with the war Syria has lost that nearly completely, it's budget is reliant on Russian and Iranian loans and it's military is bolstered by thousands of foreign troops. What say does it in national policy anymore? What the governments interests collide with that of Russia and Iran?

I actually disagree. I think this will likely make Assad a somewhat less brutal ruler, although to what extent I don't know. I can explain why if you'd like.
Go for it.

For a lot of them you probably can't. They've tasted western gibs and won't go back. Maybe the ones in Jordan and Lebanon will go home, i don't know.
I read that preparations were underway to send back 100k already, should the war end I see no reason why Europe wouldn't send back more.

Brah, Assad's government was super inclusive. Alawis, Christians, Sunni, Shia. It was the rebels who pushed sectarianism
By constitution only a Muslim can be president, the officer corps was almost entirely Alawite related to the Assad family, front line positions however were handed to everyone else, government positions are entirely reliant on nepotism, this is not being an "inclusive" state. A strong/feared security apparatus to uphold order is not tolerance and multicultural

The war's not over yet, anyway. ISIS just retook Palmyra. The Nusrats and kin aren't totally destroyed yet. Assad has a long way to go.
It's not over yes but with capturing Aleppo the SAA now has anywhere between 50-100k troops to use elsewhere, Aleppo is Syria's largest city taking the rest shouldn't be a long campaign given complete air superiority and quality of equipment.

Serious / Assad regime recaptures all of Aleppo

We had a revolution which aimed to correct the broken things in the country, but unfortunately through persistent aggression and violence by the regime, manipulation by foreign powers, radicalization, and general greed and selfishness in the opposition, this revolution devolved into a fractured insurgency, many elements of which preached a form of governance based on sharia not compatible with the reality of civilization and governance today.

Today, we have a regime, which is a shell of its former self, heavily backed by Iraqi, Lebanese, and Iranian foreign militias and Russian military might, which just recaptured Aleppo, and will most likely emerge from this war as the absolute victor. The same corrupt, inept regime, but now even more so.

Now we are left with this, and a country as fractured as ever (and mostly destroyed), with a plethora of huge problems to solve (how will we reincorporate refugees? How will we solve the dire, dire economic situation in the country? How will we deal with remnants of armed men who are intent on instability? How will we reign in the power accumulated by these militias and Iranian and Russian officials? How will we hold accountable those who were responsible for abhorrent crimes? How will we restructure the government to ensure inclusiveness and prevent further unrest by the disenfranchised?)

At least soon some peace and reconstruction can begin but what is the cost, I don't really see this "win" as long term people don't forget so easy, all this resentment towards Assad and the regime won't just disappear, like Iraq without genuine dialogue and peace settlements Syria is set for perpetual conflict so go ahead door cheer for this regime victory as much as you want, and ignore the reality; this is your hour of glory. However, don't sit here and make believe that everything is OK now, and everything in Syria is going to be OK.

Why do you do this to me?
Im sorry! I'm confused. What did I do?
You leave suddenly, take extended periods off, come back unexpectedly and then join again. It plays with my heart strings.
I'm sorry!
I won't be around very long again either. It's hard for me to post here very much so I'm sorry I'm not around.
Either way it's good to see you again. ;_;

How is the waifu hunting going? Did you finally switch over to 3d?

The only reason to go vege is essentially to boycott meat because of industry practices against animals doing it because it's convenient is really just a waste of time. I'm not going to become religious because a priest said some nice things about me.

I love and enjoy DS1 too much to bother with the others. I've played them but I put them down rather quickly after like an 1 hour or so, the first is too perfect to ruin with sub standard sequels
It's like you're completely ignoring the PvP or 2nd half of the game of DS1. DS1 fails horribly once you get the soul vessel. At least 2 and 3 are more consistent with their approach.
>Failing for the DS multiplayer meme
