Thats how every election here (USA) is. Most people just don't care. And rightfully so, it never truly impacts your day to day life.
By that logic, they should care to vote far more with their local government. They affect your day to day life by an insane amount when compared to the President.

But voter turnout is insanely low for those things too. Americans, for all their talking for a right to vote, don't really vote much.

I 100% agree. People SHOULD vote more and be more knowledgeable politically.

But like I said, people have more important things to worry about in their day to day life.

I mean look, I was pissed that Obama won 2 times. But my day to day life was/is completely uneffected by who is president. If I spent time stressing over who is president and what not, I'll lose sight of what's really important. Feeding my family.

The thing this whole referendum really brought to light, for me, was just how utterly retarded a lot of the voting population are.

There were about 3 people (IRL) over the last 6 months who had the slightest clue about anything beyond newspaper headlines and soundbites about the EU. Muh 350 gorrilion. Muh tidal wave of shitskins. The sky will fall on our heads. The economy will be utterly destroyed. WORLD WAR 3.

This whole thing has further cemented my dislike for democracy, can we just restore the monarchy already and go back to feudalism?

Its because people have more important shit to worry about. Not saying this is right, but its the truth. People work 8 hours a day and the last thing they want to do is come home and study up on some bullshit political stuff. Thats just how it is. People have to worry about their kids, putting food on the table, covering rent, ect. No one wants the extra stress.

Thats how every election here (USA) is. Most people just don't care. And rightfully so, it never truly impacts your day to day life.

If Hillary wins I'm not going to pout like a 6 year old girl. Remain side needs to man the fuck up.

What does that have to do with anything?

Yes, I'll move to Canada. Or shit maybe the UK now.

But I won't be online whining about it like a 6 year old girl.

>moving to a much more liberal (and French) country because of Hillary?

has nothing to do with conservative or liberal.

Has everything to do with corruption.

The European Union peaked back in 2004. It is done – stick a fork in it. The arrogance of Brussels and their anti-democratic approach to force their elitist views upon the people is coming back to haunt them. Unless Brussels reforms (which I completely doubt will happen), we will see the collapse of the entire EU structure right down to the Euro. The pound will bounce back even stronger than it was.

You can screenshot me on that.

Amazing how you're missing the point.

There is no fucking point. These "experts" are all paid off.

The pound will stabilize, and the U.K. Will be fine. Better off even.

Amazing how you're not only missing the point (again) but are also resorting to saying increasingly stupid things.

Alright bro.

Refute them then. Stop bitching and actually contribute to the conversation.

Sure.  ;)

Yep. You think you can't grab some clown with a high degree and pay him off? Happens all the time.

The EU is totally currupt and the good people of the U.K. Made the right decision.

Or England, Wales, and Scotland are countries within a bigger country (UK)?

This is some inception type shit.

I also just learned that England, Wales, and Scotland aren't actually countries.
...Yes they are. What the hell gave you that idea?

Apparently the United Kingdom is the country.

England, Scotland and Wales aren't.

Shit makes no sense to me either.

inb4 all the liberal newspapers say that Britain hates immigrants, etc.

Yup I'm already seeing it all over Twitter.

Hilarious. Liberal tears.

It's the fucking 20-30 year old dumbfucks who have no idea how the real world works and how immigrants actually impact their money, who are voting to remain.

The refugees being able to move all over the EU and share in all of the things the taxpayers are paying for has made the people think about that. Great Britain is the 5th biggest economy in the world. They can make it and will be better off.

Makes me hope to God Trump is president or we'll be in the same misfortune in a few years.
