I do not understand the way that you think. They are overpaid. Doctors, engineers, firefighters, people who actually do something worthwhile and contribute to society, and who help people, are the ones who deserve the higher pay.
Supply and Demand. Doctors are paid a lot because not many people can do it. Same with Engineers. But pretty much anyone can become a teacher, a cop, a fireman, ect. So its reflected in their pay. Same with Professional Athletes. Not many people can play at a pro level....
