The competitive community has always been the minority. Competitive playlists might have had a healthy population, but they've always been lower than the regular playlists.
There were less competitive playlists, so the numbers looked big because they all congregated there, however there was always more choice for non-competetive play, therefore the majority was spread out between them.
Team slayer used to have like 1/3 of the entire population on h3..... Team slayer was ranked. You know, competitive.....
