Not irrelevant. Cheat pays for the forums through ad revenue raised from people visiting the site. If you cut down on the people coming here because we ban them, you cut down on how much money can be raised to keep the forums running. So again, with a community this small, you cannot just say "lol let's ban all the shitposters" because not only does it kill activity, it'll kill the entire site in the end.

Well of course, the current criteria as explained in the sticky is that it's for somewhat serious discussion of serious topics rather than serious discussion of topics. Well, there you go, then. I'm advocating for the serious discussion of topics rather than the discussion of serious topics in the Serious board. That's what I'm pushing for.
And that isn't going to happen. The most likely scenario, as explained, is to only limit Serious to religion and politics, and have all other topics posted here. Is it the perfect solution? No - but at this point, The Flood is all shitposting. It needs to have threads to promote discussion.

Only so much we can do. If the actual member base continues to be hostile to one another and start fights on the forums, that continues to drive users away who may stumble upon us.
