Serious / Re: Most right-wing users on the site?
« on: December 23, 2015, 10:16:00 PM »
I'll pose the same question for left wingers - mostly cause I wanna see your list for that one.
I'm not very good at ranking people; there's an incredibly large asymmetry in information. I'll give it a go, though:

- Verbatim.
- Class.
- Cindy.
- Luciana.
- Challenger.
- You.

Those are the names of "left-wingers" which immediately comes to mind.
I thought Challenger was a conservative

On certain issues, he is.

Airfare.

I plan on living in a large city (Think: Boston), so I wouldn't require utilizing gasoline - just use the public transport. And there's no way I'd ever spend close to $500 on groceries in a week.

My list (In no particular order):

- Mordo
- Cadenza
- Turkey
- Meta
- Door
- Das

I'd say we have a fairly even split between conservative and liberal members, however I'd say the conservatives are far more into discussion in the forum.

I'm offended by this.

I don't know what Trump is playing on, because it's clearly more substantial than people hating political correctness, but there's no way in hell he's going to get the nomination.

You clearly underestimate the easily impressionable, politically unaware, blue collar middle America.

Not a clue.

Fair enough.

Rubio is the favourite among bookies to win the GOP nomination, and as we all know bookies are more accurate than pollsters. Clinton, however, is expected to get the Dem nomination, and the bookies are expecting a Dem victory 2016.

Thoughts?

Why ya asking me?

Anyways, to answer your question, Rubio does have the charisma, fundraising skills, and potential Hispanic support that would seem to clinch him the nomination in any other year. However with this primary, Trump's theatrics have overshadowed him, and Cruz's rise is definitely startling. As crazy as Cruz can be, he and Rubio have a large group of overlapping voters. I'm also not counting out Bush quite yet, as there is potential still for a comeback - particularly if he does well in the South. So, I'm kind of avoiding making a stance on the GOP nomination until at least after South Carolina.

Democratically, Clinton has the nomination secured unless all of the union members that are backing her just don't show up. Sanders support stems from the youth voters who similarly propelled Obama to the White House, but he hasn't made strides in other necessary communities, and that's gonna hurt - especially after we get past Iowa and New Hampshire, into states where he has no infrastructure set up.

For the general, the GOP needs to just suck it up and coalesce behind one candidate, even if it is Trump. However, the deep divides that have formed over the past decade in the party really does threaten their chances to win back the White House. I'll have to wait and see how it goes later in the primary, but I'd say a 60-40 chance that the Democrats win a third round.

Nondenominational Holiday Anarchy™
Fuck that.
Christmas or gtfo

The owner of the website is a Jew - therefore, if there were a holiday anarchy, it should be a Hanukkah themed one.

Just think, the banner could be Bernie Sanders.

It's only a couple day lite ban. He'll be back

Are people surprised by this statistic?

It shows the cowardice and hypocrisy of millenials, that's for sure.

I came into this thread and its just Mexicans throwing burritos at each other.

I'm not sure what's worse, the Mexicans or the fact that they're wasting perfectly good food.

Oh, that's weird. I figured the Marty logo thing would disappear too.

As did I.

Apparently, it's a separate space from the warning symbol.

To be honest, seeing the arguments and fighting some of our users do on a daily basis is gonna deter more people than mods having anime avatars.

If you'd like, I can try splitting off the posts on this from the last thread to continue discussion.

Or you can just start anew.
