Serious / Re: Male/Female nudity, why is sexual shit considered taboo and censored?« on: May 03, 2016, 06:56:43 PM »I agree with this sentiment, but the process of conditioning against that biological impulse might be more complicated than punishment.Oh, I see what you mean. I thought you were saying it as a justification for the double standard.Definitely not. I would love for women to be able to go shirtless and braless just like men, without having people fawn over her, but that's just not reality. You can't just take sexuality out of the equation, unless you start teaching people that it's disgustingly carnal and primitive behavior. 577

I think you've phrased it here better than I would have.Breasts on women are, for some reasonBecause they're a symbol of fertility and maternity. They're baby-feeders, and large baby-feeders, from a primitive biological perspective, have a greater likelihood of propagating the species than smaller ones do. It's not that complicated. 580
The Flood / Re: Is it still a crime to not be a massive fan of LOTR« on: May 03, 2016, 06:39:05 PM »Weird, Fellowship is my favorite movie of the three. I nearly fell asleep reading the books though.Tolkien's world is both an asset and a liability. Because of the depth of the universe the lore is expansive and immersive, but sometimes Tolkien takes it too far. Remember reading all of the asides about things irrelevant to the story? Actually, this problem is common with fantasy writers generally, they have a lot of ideas and they want to show everyone how expansive their universe is, but few engage regular consumers because their story quickly devolves into tangential history lectures. 581

For a design ethos that rewards the wary this strikes me as poor design. How do you even deal with this in-game? Can you anticipate them at all?So can we agree that those cunting Snakemen with chains during the Ancient Wyvern bit are the real bosses of the battle? 582
Serious / Re: Male/Female nudity, why is sexual shit considered taboo and censored?« on: May 03, 2016, 06:24:04 PM »
Breasts on women are, for some reason, more sexualized than nipples on men in media. Since they're more sexually identified, they can be seen as indecent. Why are they indecent? Humans have a long history with being ashamed of sexuality, especially female sexuality (Eve and temptation being a notable example), and it's a mindset we still haven't grown out of.

Taurus, Capra, Gaping Dragon, Ceaseless, Firesage and Centipede are all entirely optional and legitimately skippable. Pinwheel is too, but he requires a bug to avoid so I'm not including him. There's a lot more optional bosses than just those, btw.Actually, if you (or somebody) could just give me a list of every boss in the game--or just the ones that are necessary to beat the game--just to give me a sense of progression, that could be helpful. 589

I primarily self-motivate, but the self I motivate myself with is the person I could potentially be. Lately r/cooking has been oddly inspiring beyond culinary endeavors. I also have inspiration from hiking recently. This summer is going to involve a lot of backpacking.

I watch Steven Universe and Adventure Time, and I enjoy them immensely. Also, since Avatar: The Last Airbender is technically a cartoon and relatively recent, I find it hard to believe cartoons aren't cool anymore. There are still plenty of cartoons I enjoy.
