Was it really that bad?
The stress was immense, and I don't feel safe there anymore. Last week a guy ended up shaking me while screaming/laughing "BUT I DON'T WANNA LEAVE!!" after I told him he had to leave. He left bruises on my arm. We have had the cops talk to him multiple times about not staying on our porch after we leave, because he will just sit there all night and still be there in the morning. A lot of creepers hang out around that location.

Ok but seriously though, I really liked her character. It was a nice surprise seeing such a human character in a Bethesda game, that's not really something they've been known for, but they did a fantastic job with most companions in this game. Curie still best though

Reading through this does make me want to try Fallout again, When my head isn't on fire from looking at my emails for like 12 hours, I'll read this all, since, I don't think I've ever seen a review this beefy on such a game.
Can confirm the point on Side quests vs Main quests though
I still need to play through most of the Fallout 3 DLC, but I don't know if I can go back to it after having played 4, the difference in the quality of its combat is just too much Also, fantastic review Verb, I agree with you on most points actually. Aside from disliking the story, and the BoS, but that's more issues with lore. Using a GECK for purifying water feels like such a waste given what they were designed to do, Fallout 2 uses a GECK as a major plot piece too, and you see the effects of having used a GECK in a city called Vault City. But that's a lore gripe, rather than a story gripe. Or I guess it could be a story gripe too? I dunno. Pretty much everything else is spot on though, glad you enjoyed playing the game.

There's no real reason to be against a more all-inclusive atmosphere for women. I'm all for it.
Even when I was a fucking little kid, I thought it was stupid how we named everything after men.
I thought "-man" at the end of a title was due to the old meaning of the word "man", which just referred to a person of indefinite gender, rather than referring to men/males. Of course the meaning is different today, but I don't think it's meant to be intentionally non inclusive. Something like this isn't much of a problem though, different meanings today means it probably is a good idea to change titles such as military ones.
