How so? Is it also intuitive that a man wouldn't play a game that exploits his gender? I'm not following your train of thought on this one Well, yeah. I wouldn't watch a movie like Magic Mike XXL because I think Channing Tatum is a disgusting sex symbol who is used as a puppet to exploit the male gender.
When it comes to male exploitation, it's easier to use films as an example rather than games. If Magic Mike had a game, I wouldn't play it, because I consider Magic Mike to be a little bit misandric.
I probably don't count but, one of my favourite games ever is The Witcher 3 (Coincidentally an RPG), and there's definitely a lot in that game that you'd consider misogynistic. But it fits in the universe of the world and the characters display more than just sex appeal. It's also a world full of some pretty grim stuff, I'd find it more weird if that kind of stuff wasn't included. It makes sense for the game to have it, and I'm not going to scream misogyny, the game does it well. I just have a different view on sexuality, which is basically what this is boiling down to.
I won't deny that there's games out there that can play with sexuality in a way that isn't offensive, but I've just seen it happen so very little. To use another film example, I don't know if you've seen Requiem for a Dream, but towards the end, there's a very gruesome sex scene. It's not titillating at all--it's supposed to be sad and almost terrifying. And I wouldn't consider that misogynistic--and it was a necessary part of the story.
So that sort of thing is possible, but it's just very difficult.
I guess where you draw the line is just a lot further than where I draw it. Like I agree with the message you're trying to say here, but I disagree with you on what constitutes "offensive sexuality". I haven't played Bayonetta so I can't comment on that, but a few of the other things you've mentioned in this thread I wouldn't consider offensive.

No idea, but you were arguing against the notion that women make up almost half of the gaming population. Not against the ratio of male-female gamers that like and play Bayonetta.
I'm arguing against the notion that women make up almost half the population of games that actually matter.
Facebook games, smart phone games, and games that don't actually contain any misogynistic content don't matter. Because it's intuitive that a woman wouldn't play a game that exploits her gender.

Every year has been shit for gaming since 2006 or so.
The only good year for gaming was 2013 AKA when Knack came out

They betray their own gender.
I get the point you've been trying to make throughout this thread, but... Dude.
What?
Someone isn't "betraying their own gender" just because they disagree with how you see things. Personally, sexualisation =/= objectification Games like Dead or Alive Xtreme are what you could easily call sexist since they have no purpose aside from being sexy and basically porn, characters like Cortana aren't, they have characters beyond their appearance, and their appearance should have no impact on how you see that character, really. They're sexualised, not objectified. They easily stand on their own as a character, regardless of looks. I get your views on sex and sexual things, but your views don't really make it true. I just don't see how someone is betraying their gender because they have different views to you.

I don't recall there being free content coming out for Destiny.
It's true that the cost of making games has gone up and in terms of inflation games cost less than they ever have, however I doubt that this is trying to recuperate development costs or trying to provide an alternate way of releasing content. And given the direction Bungie seems to be going, I wouldn't be surprised if P2W elements actually did end up in the game in the near future.

Alas, I will never be able to experience snow during the Christmas season, since it is summer here.
Having to write with perfect grammar really is awful. I am quite paranoid that this is written incorrectly, it has been quite a while since I've focused heavily on my grammar.

Could be Bioware just isn't very good at writing and relies too much on generic character tropes.
You know, I feel you may have a point there

I'm almost expecting him to just "break character" once he gets elected to show that the majority of the voting base are retarded.
Not that I've read up on his actual policies at all, but if it's along the lines of the ones I hear often ("Fuck muslims, build walls"), I can hardly believe he's serious about it, nor that that many people could support it.
I really don't see how building a wall is something you couldn't be serious about.
It's geographically impossible to do what Trump wants to do, given how the land is around the border in a lot of places. And the money it would take to build and maintain this 21st century Great Wall.
Do you have any details on which places would make the wall impossible to build? Wouldn't difficult terrain act as a natural barrier reducing the amount of wall that needs to be built?.Also beyond construction I'm not seeing what would make it so expensive.
The terrain is different all across the border with elevation, cliffs, etc taken into account.
And if it's going to be a wall like Constantinople's golden gates, which is what Trump is saying, then the cost to build that across 1,954 miles, and maintain it, is nothing shy of fantasy and a massive waste of money that could be going someplace else.
But wouldn't cliffs make the wall more defensible? And even then I don't see why the wall would have to be more elaborate than anything Israel has, essentially a concrete fence.
There's a difference in scale from building a concrete fence around the Gaza Strip to seperating the southern US from Mexico.
...about 1,917 miles difference.
(Not mentioning maintenance here either)
That's less than half the length of China's wall. I don't see how this wall is impossible compared to any other wall, or compared to any other American building project - You've already built and maintained Hoover dam so the engineering capabilities exist in America.
Hoover Dam is tiny compared to the wall being proposed, and the Great Wall of China is falling apart, trying to maintain what remains would be a massive challenge, only parts that are huge tourist attractions are even taken care of. I think only a third of the wall is even left.
It's possible to build a wall across the US/Mexican border, but I couldn't imagine the cost. To use the Great Wall of China as an example, the current Great Wall was built over a period of nearly 300 years, cost a ton of lives and is now in disuse and falling apart. What would be the point?
Just looked it up. Took over a thousand years. The one we know is from the 1300's - 1600's by the Ming Dynasty.
Mongols still took over anyway.
I got the 300 years from how long it took to build the current wall as we know and think about today, even though the original wall is over 2000 years old

I have a feeling episode 7 is so good because it's relying on a lot of fanservice from the original trilogy. Like, that doesn't mean it's bad, but I'm afraid they weren't bold enough to forge their own path on it.
I could be wrong though, but things like "Chewy... we're home!' kinda makes me think it'll do just that.
Wonder if they'll finally give Han the death Harrison Ford's been asking for since the original trilogy
Who knows. Maybe. I'll find out this Friday :>
No spoilers please :< although its going to be super spoiled by everyone and everything the moment its out
