Check the capacitors before dropping hundreds on a new TV. They're fairly easy to replace if you feel comfortable working with voltage that could hurt a bit.

If he's an electrical engineer then he knows what he's doing. But capacitors can carry a lethal amount of charge in them for years.

I probably wasn't clear.
I'm not actually looking for a specific build to go for as much as it's more of a question of in what order should I level stuff up in? and is it even possible to go full magic focus for PVE, and will it make the experience hellish to the point where I would regret it.
Magic in DS2 is OP. So a magic build for PvE is easily to get. Just look at what stats affect your weapon and upgrade those. If your chime has an A in Faith, then you're going to want to level up faith. If you ever want to redistribute your skills just use a soul vessel.

I don't use a lot of magic in DS2, only healing. However if you want a good swordsman build here's my stats. A lot of my stats are overkill though. I also have enough magic skills to use healing spells in case I ever run into a situation where I can't use estus.
