Serious / Military Vs Police in Ferguson
« on: December 04, 2014, 08:23:48 AM »
Let's look at our military compared to our police force.

This is a group of police on patrol in Ferguson
This is a group of soldiers on patrol in Iraq

Here are soldiers on patrol, note their weapons are down and the relaxed postures of the soldiers
Now here is a police patrol in Ferguson, note their weapons are drawn and their aggressive posture

Here troops in Ferguson are dealing with aggressive rioters, again note their relaxed posture and lack of excessive military equitment
Here the police are dealing with rioters, note their aggressive stance and their weapons are drawn for no reason

It was to launch At 6:50 AM EST but was given a 15 minute delay due to weather.

But just now they were just given a no-go for launch so the entire launch may get delayed.

Serious / Let's talk about circumcision
« on: December 03, 2014, 04:19:08 PM »
Circumcision at birth is wrong, the medical benefits can easily be prevented with modern hygiene.

It's an awful tradition and yet we already banned female circumcision long ago. Male circumcision should only be reserved for medical problems such as phimosis.

I put this in serious because I want an actual serious discussion about this.

Gaming / Elder Scrolls VI
« on: November 28, 2014, 05:39:47 AM »
So the Elder Scrolls VI is heavily rumored to take place in the Black Marsh.

The Black Marsh is one giant swamp, it has no rolling green hills and forests like in Cyrodiil, nor the epic mountain ranges and snow of Skyrim.

Instead the next game could take place in one giant swamp. It will probably look like a shittier version of Morrowind.

Lasky: "Let's see if we can grease the wheels for you. All ships, prepare to engage!"

Lasky: "Weapons, prepare firing solution! We promised to get John inside that ship, and I am not about to let that man down!"
I swear if Lasky were any closer to Chief he'd probably be sucking Chief off.

Okay so right now my family is pretty tight on money and I need a car. Yet my step sister gets $50 a day in allowance. Like, are you fucking kidding me? My brother and I never got shit.

I actually need a car and my brother has to live piss poor because he's in college (which my grandparents have to pay for because we're so tight on money) and can hardly afford rent and basic necessities, yet here she is getting $18,000 for free and blowing it on alcohol every night with her friends.

Oh, and she's 16.

Serious / GOP passes a bill restricting scientists from advising the EPA

http://io9.com/house-passes-a-bill-that-restricts-scientists-from-adv-1661140635
Quote
By a vote of 229-191, the House has just passed a GOP-sponsored bill to ensure that a more "balanced panel of experts" will advise the Environmental Protection Agency. But critics say it will reduce the participation of independent scientists in favor of those with financial ties to industry.
The EPA Science Advisory Board Reform Act of 2013, paves the way for industry to have a greater influence over EPA by distorting the process for selecting members of the Science Advisory Board in favor of industry-affiliated "experts." It actually prohibits scientists who have relevant subject matter expertise from providing their expert advice to the EPA, increasing the likelihood that industry experts—those with obvious financial conflicts of interest—will be able to skew the recommendations of the Board. The bill also favors industry by creating unnecessary procedural hurdles that will delay EPA actions to protect the health and safety of every American.

I've had this laptop for like 3 months now and I'm ready to fly to Japan so I can stab Sony's CEO.

Within the first few weeks of having it the battery died so it has to be plugged in 24/7 and now the trackpad is completely broken. How the fuck am I supposed to do my school work now? And I have no backup computer to use. I also have no means of repairing it.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/11/14/heres-why-you-cant-change-your-psn-name-yet

Their defense is you could go into Call of Duty and troll someone and then change your gamertag after so the person you trolled can't find you.
