Quote We were going to say that Bungie had made no effort at all in any aspect of the game, but that’s not quite true. In terms of taking ruthless advantage of their fans they’ve left no corner unturned. Destructoid -6.5/10 Quote For now, there's an easy test to judge whether or not you should pick up The Dark Below: did you play Destiny from launch all the way up until the first expansion? If so, you'll want to get it as soon as possible. If your enthusiasm has faltered over the past few months and you never really got into the first raid, you can wait or pick up the Season Pass at a later date after more incremental improvements have been made. Gamezone Quote The Dark Below is a great reminder of what Destiny could be, but isn’t. Its best content is the raid, the gunplay is smooth and playing with friends is a great time. Unfortunately, Bungie doesn’t seem to have any clue how to give players a sense of progress without giving them hundreds of hours of grinding and then releasing better gear. If all of the content was like that found in the raids, Destiny would be so much better. That and I think the whole Light armor system is broken and stupid. Polygon -5/10 Quote The Dark Below is thin on content, and it fails to expand the scope of Destiny in any meaningful way. Bungie has adopted language from the MMO genre to describe this DLC as an "expansion," but the studio doesn't establish any legitimate claim to the term. Lzygmrs -5/10 Quote Bungie have squandered their chance to regain any faith following the shooter’s less than desired response from the community. Apart from the entertaining Crota’s End raid and new weapons and armor, the expansion experiences the same issues that caused widespread dismay in the first place. The biggest downfall still remains the price, for $19.99/£19.99 you expect more effort, but The Dark Below feels rushed and lazy like it was thrown together last week to meet a deadline, ultimately not worth the price. Attack of the fanboy -1.5/5 Quote Destiny: The Dark Below is a combination of all of the worst parts of the original game. It offers little value to all except the most dedicated of players and revisits the same overused locations that we've seen a dozen times. Trusted Reviews -6/10 Quote Pros 373

Gaming / Destiny: Buy the DLC or GTFO« on: December 09, 2014, 07:51:11 AM »
So with Destiny's DLC being released today Bungie decided that only people with DLC can play Weekly and Nightfall strikes. Bungie has also removed any loot (engrams) from the Strike playlist for Non DLC owners.
So it you don't own bend over and give Bungie $15 then you are stuck with a game in which you can not even level up your character. 379
Gaming / More Battlefield 4 content on the way« on: December 09, 2014, 05:50:34 AM »Spoiler http://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_4/comments/2oosuh/david_sirland_is_backing_off_the_6th_dlc_issue/ So it could be anything from Battlefiled 2143 (What a perfect time to announce it too), or just a 6th DLC for Battlefield 4. But there's also a possibility this might not be Battlefield related Read comments by a Dice dev below Spoiler Quote There will be an announcement tomorrow (yay) Quote I can confirm this annoucement is not about Hardline. We'll find out today http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/news/ Dice has plans to bring more content to Battlefield 4 and it looks like part of it will be more remastered maps which is a damn shame. 381

Wreck of the Titan is a book that came out in 1898 about an ocean liner called the Titan that is hit by an iceberg on her maiden voyage and sinks.
14 years before the sinking of the real Titanic. Similarities between the Titan and the Titanic -Both were triple screw (propeller) -Described as "unsinkable" -The Titanic carried only 16 lifeboats, plus 4 Engelhardt folding lifeboats, less than half the number required for her passenger and crew capacity of 3000. -The Titan carried "as few as the law allowed", 24 lifeboats, which could carry less than half of her total complement of 3000. -Moving at 22½ knots, the Titanic struck an iceberg on the starboard side on the night of April 14, 1912, in the North Atlantic, 400 nautical miles (740 km; 460 mi) away from Newfoundland. -Moving at 25 knots, The Titan also struck an iceberg on the starboard side on an April night in the North Atlantic, 400 nautical miles (740 km; 460 mi) from Newfoundland . -The Titanic sank on her maiden voyage, and more than half of her 2200 passengers and crew died. -The Titan also sank on her maiden voyage, and more than half of her 2500 passengers drowned. 384

Quote Anybody who believes for one second that this was a real rocket launch wants stringing up by the bollocks. It's a total and utter piss take of people's intelligence Quote The rocket launch might be real, but not the mission itself and the details about it. How difficult is it to launch a dummy rocket which disintegrates in the higher atmosphere and then pretend you're recovering something from the ocean? Do you really believe that after so many space missions all the photos and videos from space look like garbage? The Earth looks like nothing, the imagery is actually inferior to what we see in most sci-fi movies. How about the Sun why is it never blinding? Where the heck are they hiding that it is always relatively dark? I am not talking about the background, but about the spaceship itself. I would expect it to be super shiny For those who did not see the launch yesterday Orion had an external camera attached which was livestreamed during the entire launch. It was live all the way from liftoff to Orion entering Earth's orbit which debunks Flat Earth as millions were watching it live. |
