BF3 and 4 were dominated by high RoF shitters. The AEK for example outclassed every weapon in its category with the exception of Bulldog(my gunfu) in 4.
Some genius at DICE thought having most weapons in their respective categories do the same damage is good balance. So if this continues and they use set patterns there will be a even bigger gap with high and low RoF weapons.
