Jump scares aren't horror.
DS3 is significantly more of an action shooter than a horror game.
Compared to the first 2 yes. Its still a horror game although not as scary because of the environments. Plus having fought necros for 2 games you become numb to the scare of em, so you have yourself to blame too if the game isnt scary.

I dunno why you guys are demanding a new Dead Space. Part of what made the first two games great was the mystery behind it and all that. Then DS3 came in and had the Resident Evil 5 effect where it was almost all action.
Let those guys make a new IP and keep it like the original 2 were.
hurr di durr ignorance! 3 was the best of em, it had more focus on the characters/story and the gameplay was perfect. If you played the games because they were horror then you probably should rethink how you approach games.
