Its mostly just HL1 with the platforming, its issue is the glidy movement that comes from the GoldSource engine.
Half Life 2 has less platforming and more physics centric stuff made to show off the engine at the time but it still holds up today and never got old to me personally. Looking forward to hearing thoughts on EP2 if you stick with it (and verb get the fuck on it you fuck)
