From what I've seen from MAYDAY they think the pilot wanted to commit suicide.

But they still don't know

Said it right from the start that it wasn't a hero film, and if you don't like crude humour then it obviously wasn't the right film for you.  These are all things you knew before coming into the theatre.
I was inviting by a friend who had a spare ticket.
Enjoy the free ride then, it didn't cost you a dime
The action scene were cool.

SPOILER ALERT

SPOILER ALERT

You have been warned

I didn't like it.  I don't find crude humor funny and the calendar sex  montage wasn't needed.  I did laugh a few times during the film. It wasn't really my type of *Hero* film.

5/10.

The overgrown wall is just a depiction that time has passed. If you didn't show actual aging in the scenes, the audience would have just been like, "oh, no time passed. ok nm."
And the rock that is eroded?

The car still looks as new as it did when they entered-- if it had been years, then there would be noticeable wear-and-tear on it. My best guess is that the entrance was just lazy with magic.
Agreed, I find it hard that if they were gone for years no one would find the vehicle.

It's a Miyazaki film. Don't question it.
A question what I want

You ever think that it might have been just a couple days and that magic made the grass grow or something?
it's not only the grass, dust and rock that I am looking at.

Paint completely gone the walls are covert in vegetation.

I think it's been years.

Why did no one go looking for them or find their car?

Miyazaki doesn't make many oversights. Cars has a really strong point here, Gaara.
Now that I think about this movie more I have more questions.  If it was years  how and why did no one find their car?

Their car wouldn't  start after a year of no use.

There was quite a bit of moss on the stone, it could have covered the face. The statue in your most recent image was more detailed to put emphasis on its size in comparison to Chihiro whereas the statue wasn't as important in the final scene (not to mention it's much further away considering the height difference). Regardless, it's not something in the plot you're supposed to look too much into, it was probably just an oversight.

Now hurry up and go watch Nausicaa And The Valley of The Wind.

I beg to differ

That clearly had detail on it. You would need alot of plans. face it gone

1) I will watch those films when I get to those films.  I see my co-workers once every 2 weeks for *movie night*

2) That looks more eroded to me. I am no geologist if so they've been in that world for years.  That car might not start after a full year of no use.

Weeks, the rock didn't lose its decals, it was just so overgrown you couldn't see it.

You would be excellent at Cinema Sins.

« on: February 11, 2016, 03:45:55 PM »
Long story short co-worker gave me an introduction course of anime to settle an argument they were having.

We watched Wolf Children and Princess Monovoke.  Alot of you suggested Spirit Away.

I watched it last night with them. I have so many question.

1) How long was she there for?

They came back to their car and it had leaves on. The pathway was also overgrown. That hinting they were gone a couple of weeks.  However if you notice the rock statue has completely lost it decals.  For rock to erode in that manner takes decades.

So were they gone weeks or years?

Did no one go searching the area for them if they were gone years and not found their car?

Has a movie ever made you ask alot of question?
