I've never seen the second movie, but the book and first film were great.
Also, it causes me physical pain to read your writing for prolonged periods.

I saw it and its just not fun to watch, they butchered the movie with a lot of gore for no reason. It's just sick and it pains me to watch it. Back in my day, the Scorpion wasn't useless.
I actually used both the main gun and the machine gun. Don't know why Bungie started to use the shitty gunner seat that never gets used and that only makes the Scorpion an easier target for ground forces to board/destroy.

I remember in the Halo 2 campaign the Scorpion in the campaign were OP. So it would make sense for Bungie to balance it.
Its a tank, its supposed to be powerful and not made of cardboard.

From my experience the tank was not even that annoying.
Maybe if you weren't such a filthy casual at the game and couldn't kill a tank, the tank could have probably stayed the same like its supposed to be.
If it did, then the turret for the gun in Halo 2 needs to have a cool down system, it would help the balance for the scorpion in halo 2.
In BF1942 the machine guns do that. You fire so many rounds and then the thing cools down. That's what Bungie should have done. It's amazing how much little though went into their games.
I'm even surprised that they never thought of the cool down system until there broken game called Reach.

They did by nerfing the speed. Taking the machine gun out along with the speed decrease is just dumb. It should have been one or the other. Either have the speed without it or have the thing without the speed.

Reading the book was actually really creepy.
It's been a while but it was quite the read.
It was, a bunch of English kids stranded on a island and only there to survive. It was really sad book and like you said creepy, it was worth the read for me as well, also R.I.P Piggy.
