The Flood / When one of you sends me a snap about how you...

Jacked off to the video my gf put on my snap.

Like, come on. I blocked you, but really?

Not even the people from b.net are that directly weird. I hold you all at a higher standard

Zizzy and I were within a hundred feet of eachother (maybe more) at the United v Chelsea game. I was in the Stretford End corner and he was behind the goal below the singing section.

We planned to meet but it just didn't happen.

We tied though :/

Lost a friend the other night, got T-boned by a drunk driver. My other friend in the car survived, but has been in critical condition so I have been in and out of the hospital. Today I was just at my apartment, just kind of sitting there. Played some FIFA to get my mind off of it, but nothing.

Sucks, really, truly sucks.

Serious / Re: Is it better to reflect, or to constantly move forward
« on: April 10, 2016, 03:25:41 AM »
Why not both?

You don't dwell on your mistakes in life, you learn from them. You can't change the past, but you can change and influence the decisions you make in your future. Like the saying goes, life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.

Both is certainly an option, but most people lean one way or another. Some people find more wealth in reflection and some find more success in never looking back. You can tell when someone never learns from their mistakes, but you can also tell when someone is stuck dwelling in the past. Very rarely have I ever encountered someone who is balanced and does both well, or even both at all. The ideal would be both, but its a hard mindset to have

« on: April 09, 2016, 03:32:04 AM »
Do you find it better for you to periodically reflect on your life, be it decisions or direction, or for you to effectively learn through progression rather then reflection?

Everyone has preferences, and be it for the better or worst some prefer to not reflect or ponder about the past. Although there are many pros and cons for each outlook which do you find to be the best for you? And which would you reccomend to another person?

Honestly don't have any set goals right now, just waiting for the next thing to jump on.

Feels weird, but satisfying

Pre-Destiny Bungie never limited access to the public forums if you didn't own a copy of Halo, and the Optimatch Playlist only required a linked Gamertag, no games of Halo necessary. I fail to see how the traffic will be curbed on B.net now that you need a linked Guardian to play. If they wanted to prevent Alt's they shouldn't have let people change their usernames at the drop of a hat and offer more methods of making customizable avatars via linked Gamertags.

Also, DeeJ blaming Charlie for personal attacks against him is bullshit when the whole point of a community is to grow and foster real friendships. DeeJ just wants everyone to be raid buddies, and as someone who used to static raid in FF, I can say with certainty that the chances of developing real sincere friendships over a fucking boss fight is extremely small.

Everyone seems to forget that DeeJ was actually pretty damn cool and treated all of us well before Destiny was announced. He was with us in the darkness, and we had the mail sack, which was actually great. Shit he even let me help make the first and second reverse mail sack.

Like he did his job and I find it really hard to believe that he's lost it, but that it's just Bungie sort of fucking him over.

He's not Urk, but it's obvious he's doing the best he can. Sure it's not a lot, but I noticed how he was before all of this but everyone seemed to have forgotten.

Does he annoy me now? Yes. But I don't think he's shit, I just think he's in a tough spot

The Charlie incident was something I found out about later, and it happened after the darkness. All I'm saying is DeeJ was cool as fuck to all of us for a pretty long time, and that everyone seems to forget that

Well for starts, there isn't a moderator on here that wont try and shadow ban you in a desperate attempt to kick you off the site (Seriously, FUCK Dazarobbo). But if you want me to put everything down into a clean precise reasoning.

1. Political/Religious discussion is segregated. This one is probably the second most important reason as to why the community on B.net went to shit immediately. Bungie sat there and said "Just hide what you don't like :^)" while ignoring the LEGITIMATE criticisms of that mentality (IE: Why can't we just hide NSFW material and make that allowed?). And the fact that every single political/religious thread showed that NOBODY ever did that.

2. Layout is simple. Don't fix what isn't broken, and Bungie swore up and down that the community was becoming "Too large" to keep the old layout despite the fact that none of us saw an increase in site traffic.

3. Site was broken for over half a year. I get that it was brand new and we had to get accustomed to it (I barely got used to 2013 B..net when they decided to change it AGAIN and made it so bad that I gave up completely). Topic buttons barely worked, pages wouldn't refresh, notifications never went away. It was kind of hard to get the site into a somewhat comfortable layout with the tools you had.

4. Titles and prefixes went byebye. As a Fabled Mythic member, I felt pretty invested in the community, and we didn't need a giant number to display our seniority when our join date did that for us.

5. The community Manager is a sad, pathetic, fedora tipping, victim blaming neck beard. This one is self-explanatory.

It's not that we are better by any means, it's just what I prefer.

I got tired of a big forum filled with fodder and the occasional regular face, along with the shitty direction bungie kept heading in. The blinding white didn't help but eh, darkscript.

Here we have a community where everyone knows everyone (active users that is) and as vitriolic as it was last year it's pretty civil here really. Not in terms of everyone talks about tea and crumpets, but that you don't really get the argument of 'your a fuckin retard kiddo' as the primary tool of discussion (much).

But having a closer-knit community means we have to put up with the drama that can cause, which I thank the god emperor trump has been pretty much gone since the agitators buggered off. We survived last year which was basically one large flamey shitposting war and now I'd say things are pretty pleasant here.

Maybe it's just what I saw from having to deal with the neverending stream of reports but by comparison things today are infinitely better than they were this time last year.

tl;dr

It's a small town kind of place, everyone knows everyone at this point and it's nice to see regular faces every day. We also allow people to say pretty much what they feel like, outside of the serious board, rather than going all JIDF and banning people for being mean :^(

That's how I see it, but my point was more of the fact that even if we are a small portion of older members, we still represent how Bungie still is, just with less people. Like how we act really isn't that different. The only difference is that we actually know and are familiar with who were talking to on here

The Flood / What makes us different from the community that we left?

What is it about this website, and the small community we have that makes us different then the community we left back at B.Net.

Other then the fact we're probably on average older, we really aren't that different. What is it about the Bungie community that you hated so much, but somehow believe we don't have the same issue here?

Play Burnout Paradise. A game where its a city with nothing but cars. No people at all. The cars drive themselves. Even you.

Not sure what you mean with this

I'd personally wait for further confirmation of reliability. It worries me when I don't hear any complaints about something. There's a contrarian group for anything.

It works fine for me but then again its my first day with it. The only real complaint would lie in the fact its not truly self driving, its simply locking onto the car in front of you and making sure you dont crash. You still have to steer and navigate.

Hell no. I like it when my car threatens to kill me for not paying attention to it.

Well Das, it cant do a full turn, so if your not paying attention your going to die.

Wouldn't trust it at the moment, but I'd be very glad to see the technology perfected.

Its definitely cool and from the time I spent on the highway with it on it certainly works, it just feels very odd

I dont know how to describe it. Yeah its really cool and yes you still have control and you can retake complete control at any time, but taking your hands of the steering wheel and pedals and sitting there is so weird. But it is so awesome that it actually works, outside of turning.

How much would you trust/feel comfortable in a car that was driving itself? Would you trust it more then a human driver in the same situation?

The Flood / Re: worst airport experiences
« on: April 04, 2016, 11:36:20 AM »
First time flying by myself. Agent at the gate accidentally rips my passport and tells me he has never seen anything like that happen in the 30 years he's worked there. Every single encounter with airport, security or customs people for the next 4 flights of my trip (Belgium - Montana) took at least an hour and involved me being held aside while people called Brussels police and the airline to validate everything. Missed 2 flights because of it and ended up almost being dumped in downtown Denver at 3:30am in the middle of the winter by an unwilling shuttle driver. God bless the USA.

Also had to spend the night at a desolate airport in Kenya because the plane's radar system randomly broke down right before take-off, and turn back mid-flight coming out of Italy as the plane was spraying oil everywhere and the pilot didn't think we could clear the Alps, after which he made the exceptionally dry comment "the plane does not appear to work anymore".

I doubt anyone can beat those.

That last one holy shit

Miami to Paris. Baby cried for 6 hours three rows ahead of me. It was my first genuinely upsetting experience on a flight. Never had any problems with the TSA or any long delays/security waits.

If something annoying happens on your flight on an international flight it's the worst thing in the world because your there for 8 hours+.

« on: April 03, 2016, 08:56:33 PM »
I know it's not in production yet, more of a reservation stage, but it's still going to be a car on the market especially with its blow out success.

It's definitely affordable, starting at $35,000

Info Link:
https://www.teslamotors.com/model3

Although I'm not crazy about its appearance, it's definitely not ugly, which is already a plus compared to other competitors. And it comes with a lot of features, including auto drive and a pretty good range.

With the huge amount of reservations with a few days, this car is going to be everywhere

Nobody here likes you because of how stupidly materialistic and snobbish you are. Not only do you fake having money, cars, and a gf, but you act like it makes you better than everyone else

Bro just stop, you've been getting embarrassed for 2 pages now...

No I haven't. If anyone is embarrassing himself it's BC

Nothing I've said is even remotely embarrassing, what are you on about

I want to shoot myself every time I read your posts
I've felt this way ever since his first "money isn't everything" post.

He's the personification of ignorance.

Thats true though. Money isn't everything. Its not even close to being that important.
True, maybe, but that's besides my point. It's a conception born from the perspective of a rich kid. He couldn't possibly bring any value to that discussion.

Not all of us were born with a silver dildo up our ass.

Wasn't born with it, if I was I would probably be an absolute cock lol
