Oh shit waddup Also cars actually use and test tech that hasn't really been used. For example the chassis and breaks of a P1 are revolutionary, literally. Extremely lightweight composite chassis that is stronger then any car. And breaks that use materials only previously used in space programs.

While trying to pose the question of "can we...?", we forgot to ask "should we...?"
Interesting pieces of machinery I bet, but aside from being on display (at a hair raising speed of 0MPH), where can they be used, and for how long? I remember reading about the consumption rate of the bugatti veyron. Something like the tires only last half an hour, and the fuel around that time if going at top speed.
Cool, but ultimately pointless. I'm not even sure you can race 'em, and even then I expect that to last about as long as Group B in the World Rally Championships.
You are correct, a Veyron at near top speed wears down its tires in I believe less then a minute. Where can it be used at that speed? Tracks all around the world. I would have gotten a P1 GTR if I lived in Europe, but here in Miami I only have like 2 tracks and none of which are really suitable for something of that magnitude, even if we have a Zonda R prancing around down here. It is good fun though, track days are incredible fun, and being able to take a friend with you around at speeds they have never been at or imagined being in (in a car) can be incredibly funny. You begin to understand it when you see a car of that magnitude do a straight launch.

Yes, but giga still sounds greater than mega, generally speaking. If they're going to coin another name for these cars, why not make it something that at least has the connotation of 'greater than hyper' and doesn't make them sound like Tonka toys.
