I have acquired a keyboard. Been occupying myself with that for a good while. Everything is so horizontal... My right hand still thinks it can do pull-offs. I'm lost in a forest. Hold me.

*holding intensifies*

Honest question, who don't you dislike? It seems you have a common distaste for literally everyone
noelle

granted, some users i once disliked are starting to grow on me, but whatever

So, for you, does everyone start off with you disliking them and working their way up? Or everyone starts at a common neutral ground?

The Flood / Today was a long day.
« on: December 10, 2014, 09:34:48 PM »
Got home at 8pm, hadn't ate since 7am. Had to sit down and write a case brief for my AP Government class, and summarize the entire book we use for class.

Dandy day. Atleast I got to wear the suit Combatent Gentleman sent me.

Spoiler

How was your day flood? Hopefully good

Until the age of 16: uniform

Sixth form: normal clothes, preferably smart casual

College/University: normal clothes, preferably smart casual

I think this the same for everywhere in the UK. I don't think it's strange, it just seems normal.

What is sixth form?

It's very weird for me, especially since we just dress casual, no uniform or anything. So wearing a suit is pretty rare, it like makes me feel uncomfortable, like everyone is staring at me or something. So, I don't really like it when we have to wear dress clothes for something.

Understandable

Yup
Couldn't take it. I'm hard to offend but I'd still go off (in somewhat productive way, at least) if anything of the sort happened in my class. The teacher would never hear the end of it until something changed or they forced me out of the school, but I guess I'm just stubborn like that.

I have to remain professional and give her the benefit if the doubt. I think she is going through family troubles and it's being brought on to us. I'm not going to blow up on her when she can't help why she's like that.

I'll tough it out honestly. Sure it pisses me off to have to go and do this, but whatever
I wouldn't be an asshole. I'd just pick apart decisions like that in a rational way. To be honest, sometimes teachers and professors can learn a thing or two from students.

ftr, I'm not trying to convince you to go off on your teacher.

On don't worry I get what your saying and I'd understand why you'd do that, it's fairly reasonable. I didn't feel like arguing or dealing with it, I had more on my mind so I just accepted it.

Is that how private schools in England are?
My blood ain't rich enough for a private school.

You don't have to be rich to go to a private school here, hence why I made the assumption
It was a joke.
But nah. I went to one of the local public High Schools.

Strange for a public school to have uniforms
Not here.
As far as I know every school here, public or private, has a uniform.

That's something I did not know

I think uniforms are stupid.

It's compulsory here in most cases.

They really aren't that bad

My school leaves a lot of decisions up to the teacher. For example, if a teacher doesn't want to give you a senior exemption, even if you are the only person they deny, they can. And you can't complain.

It's a complete dick thing, and it's happened to a bunch of people already
Is your school a private one?

EDIT: It looks like yes.

Yup

Why are you wearing a suit?

Long story short, if was in the hospital for some time. My teacher gave me a 0 for a test and won't budge.
You can't make up a test after being hospitalized?

This teacher is fries.

Yep. She refused to let anyone make up anything. Someone in my class war mourning a death, she's in the same boat as me
Isn't that against a lot of school policies? Has anyone tried reporting her?

I had a uniform all in both Primary School and High School.
I didn't mind until they changed the uniform to a shirt, tie and blazer in my third year of HS.

I don't mind wearing suits, mine are all very comfortable, it's just wearing one to school is a strange feeling
I don't mind wearing something formal. It was just horrible having to wear a blazer every day, especially in the Summer.

My High School was retarded, because you had to wear the blazer unless you asked if you could take it off, and a lot of the teachers were assholes.

Is that how private schools in England are?

Awake was a great show, but it got canceled although they got to finish it up. Really great show man
What is it?

Essentially it's a cop (or detective I can't remember) who loses his wife/ and or son (won't spoil) in an accident. When he goes to sleep, he's with his son. When he goes to sleep again, he's with his wife. His two lives (it's never stated which is real or not) are different, but clues in one life help with cases in the other. And so on. Very interesting dynamic, but it's not a cop show. It's actually very different. Acting is superb, the show overall is phenomenal. It was actually canceled because the writing was to advanced for people to follow the show. Aka, the average American couldn't keep up with the plot.

The ending was amazing, and it ties everything up well. But you can tell they were forced to end it early, but they still did a great job.

I absolutely recommend it
I'm intrigued.
It's probably not on Bong Netflix though.

I know it's on the US Netflix. It's worth checking and seeing. It's 13 episodes, I believe 30-45min each If I remember correctly. It's very well written. It's a damn shame that it got canceled

I wore a jersey for my UGC Events team and everyone asked what it was. You can imagine how awkward it must've been to tell them I'm an introvert sweaty nerd that wants to play video games for money. Now I just wear it on stream, because expression is hard.

A jersey?

Can't understand when a big deal is made out of it.

Same, uniforms aren't bad at all

Why are you wearing a suit?

Long story short, if was in the hospital for some time. My teacher gave me a 0 for a test and won't budge. So she's making me participate in a speech competition for full credit. In which I have to wear a suit, and it's like 4 hours long.
