i like the p1 but i'm more impressed with porsche's use of hybrid technology in the 918

I'm impressed by the 918 as well, for more reasons.

How impressed, will be something to talk about next year

You like WW2 guns? Would you get an M1 garand too?

I would, if reloading it wasn't so dangerous, tbh
True, they had a name for it, something do with the thumb.

Original?

oy vey, $20,000 is what you'll see on a price tag. Purchasing wise, you have to do a shit load of paperwork, wait a few months, get it approved by the police, and pay a $200 tax stamp

Just take the easy way out and buy a semi-auto reproduction for a $1,000 or so
http://www.auto-ordnance.com/Firearms/Thompson-T1.asp

Holy shit that's a lot.

Damn :(
Today I wanted to get the Omnibus volumes for either Star Wars Tales of The Jedi or those KoTOR ones. Each volume book wise runs from $100 to $200. Fuck me sideways.

That's not $20k though

If I were to ever buy one gun, it would be the M1A1 Thompson. Why? Because WW2 guns are the best. And it's my favorite gun of all time. One exactly like the picture, not one with the pin on top.

I'm at dinner but this came to mind.

How hard is it to find an original, non replica? How expensive do they go for? Also, I know literally nothing about gun laws and such, and I can only assume I'm to young to own one legally, but when would I be able to get one (not saying I will). At 18? I live in Florida.
An original Thompson would probably be extremely expensive. I honestly don't know where you'd even buy one.

Can't own one of those bad boys until you're 21

It's a damn shame. They'll probably be even harder to find :(

You feel your strength in the experience of pain. What's put you into hospital?

Quote
My friend had to be air lifted after being rear ended by a drunk driver. He spun out of control, hit three trees and a wall. He was propelled out the car. But, the paramedics have no idea how the hell he ended up outside, the wreckage was in a way that it was impossible for him to get out. But they found him on the floor, on the side. He actually should be dead, as in, cut in half.

I hope you and your friend rest easy, that's quite a traumatic situation to have experienced.

I was not with him, I was called and told about it from his dad. So I ran over here

God is great.
I mean, I'm really not trying to start things, but it doesn't sound so great if he had to be airlifted to the hospital..

I meant that in the fact that against all odds, he managed to survive. From what I've heard, he's minimally injured, for the most part.

He should be cut in half.
