The Flood / Re: What laptop should I get?
« on: June 15, 2015, 07:51:08 PM »
Mobile cards are shit no matter what you get, so deciding on a graphics card is pointless for laptops. Just make sure it had an i7-4970k since the CPU will do all the work anyways.

I'm not I'm literally just looking for a good laptop haha, whether or not it's good for gaming isn't really important, it's just a plus

MSI has terrible hardware quality

Asus is 4ever reliable.
Hmmm...

Will confirm. I forget sometimes that I had to afro-engineer my DC jack to connect with an external pigtail since the goddamn thing would keep breaking off it's solder and arc shit up.

You have my deepest condolences

Portable gaming would be nice :)
then fucking forget apple.

Look at offerings from ASUS and MSI.

>MSI

Das pls
What?
My old one looks pretty neat when it's sitting next to my rack of knives that now probably collectively outvalue it.
Pretty sure Gatsby has a newer model and likes it.

Well, I'm going off their hardware, MSI isn't necessarily the best. But maybe I'm wrong in my judgement, I'll look into it

One more expensive than your car.

So, like, $200 should do it.

No? One more expensive from my car would be $1.
My bad, I forgot you acquired your car playing poker and winning big by betting all those "stocks" you trade.

But Meta, what car? I'm just a poor boy who sits in a cardboard box

I caved in and realize my iPad isn't cutting it, and my PC isn't something I can carry around lol.

So what laptop should I get?

I'm looking at the fully loaded MacBook Pro 15.4 inch (I need to overcompensate) and I'm leaning towards Apple because MacBooks are quite good. However, is there any notable laptop outside of Apple products?

I know no matter what your getting ripped off for what the parts your getting are actually worth, but I don't really care in truth.

I'm all ears. Portable gaming would be nice :)

"We're the same."

As soon as I opened the door, perplexed I responded "what"

And he explained to me that my order of 3 Cinnamon breads, was exactly what he would order.

It's nice to know I'm not alone.

What's the weirdest thing anyone has said to you at a restaurant, or delivery

Pvp zerg rushes and dungeons are the best part of the game so far

I prefer being a highwayman with a group of friends and ambushing the stragglers that are running one by one to get to fights until a group of them wise up and start hunting us through the forest.

But yeah, Cyrodiil and the dungeons are the best parts of the game.

I wish they used Cyrodil for more then just PVP :/

Unless they have been told specially what color an object is, they would have no way of guessing it

Humans aren't born with natural preconceptions to what things look like

If you think about it, a description of an object lends no helping hand to what the color of the object is

I know, and that's the point. They are just blankly guessing. And it would interesting if they immediately associate the color red with being hot, upon first seeing ut

The Flood / Re: I wonder...
« on: June 13, 2015, 11:48:33 PM »
They'd have a hard time guessing correctly. Especially because everything comes in every color, basically.

True, but basic fire and such would be red.

If they guessed blue, you have to wonder what they were picturing.

1. In text.

2. No. My brain actually considers the two separate things, for some reason.

What do you mean by seperate things?
I mean that they have the same value, but my brain doesn't do the translation. It reads "FML" and knows what it means without going "Oh, FML; that's Fuck My Life."

Ah, I get you

Let's say we had a person who had been blind their entire life.

Somehow doctors are able to give this person the ability to see. But, when the person first opens their eyes, all they see is a panel of the colors in the rainbow. Now they have seen color and knows what specific colors look like. You then blind fold them, and ask them to guess what color certain things are.

For example, based on what they know about fire, and the heat generated, what color would they think fire would be. How about the sky? Anything.

It would be very interesting to see if you can answer correclty based off seeing a palette of colors and applying it to what you know.
