Serious / Re: How Many of You Have Actually Used A Gun?
« on: December 06, 2015, 03:48:51 PM »
I grew up in a military family. My parents have guns, my siblings have guns, but I do not own one. I have also had one pointed in my face by a crazy drunk.

I don't particularly like them, or spiders, or clowns, or tiny bits of trash (like gum wrappers).

You never responded to a message I sent you a few weeks ago. What is up with that?

I do not have one. What is your favorite show?

People seemed to either like me or were afraid of me back home. I don't really know many people where I am now.

Try harder to be cool then.
I would rather not try to achieve the impossible. The internet hip-ness comes and goes so quickly, I could never keep up.

I took a level 100 Dedenne to the Pokemon League and wrecked faces.

oh, old.
The age of it does not take away from its relevance.

I forgot that being cool on the internet meant being up to date on the...how do you call it? "Dank memes", hip gifs and other various image compilation websites. Rats!

I played Kameo on 360 and had a lot of fun. There was nothing particularly special about it.

I already have Scizor for Steel Power, what's Aggron good for apart from Head Smash?

Apart from Head Smash, well...

Inquisition sucks.

Get The Witcher 3
I have not heard anything about Inquisition. I will add Witcher 3 to my list as well.

Fallout, Dragon Age, I'll ink of some more, those are just off the top of my haad
Dragon Age is definitely on my list. Fallout is growing on me. I've been watching the honeydew play for the past few days and it is entertaining.

Top lad

What type of games do you like?
I enjoy RPGs mainly.

And my honeydew came home with this to make me feel better.

We also have the Master Chief Collection and are picking up Halo 5 on Monday (hopefully). What other games should we get?

Roman, I agree with both Mr. Psychologist and Sandtrap. You need to talk to a professional.

And as a long side note: I have read your threads since the days of Bungie: in that Flood spin-off group to RA to the mains. You use these forums as a platform to complain about issues you are afraid to tackle head on. You feel like a loser in real life, so you turn to the forums where a bunch of strangers largely ridicule you. Because what is better than being a real-life loser with no one to talk to and who gets attention from no one? An online-loser that gets negative attention from strangers.

You need to stop looking for a quick fix and address your problems head on. You are never going to find instant happiness. It does not exist in some fantasy woman, career or lifestyle. The only way to find and maintain happiness is in yourself. You need to find your own inspiration.

Appreciate what you DO have: an education, a job, a home and a family. None of those things may be perfect, but you have them.

I do not think we are regressing into a Cold War era. There are too many unknown ramifications.

I'm not sure you can purchase a whole turkey here. Perhaps I will check around for a 3-4 lb turkey breast and cook it up in my braadpan.

The Flood / Re: Why do you fear death?
« on: November 26, 2015, 03:07:43 AM »
I do not fear death. My only concern related to death is the loved ones I will leave behind. I do not want them to feel the pain of loss.

142
That is a tough one. If you really are not interested in getting back together, then tell her that. You can certainly tell her that you will always care about her, but that is it.

God Europe just shits all over us when it comes to architecture
Other than having actual Gothic structures, no.
American post-modernism was simply the greatest architectural movement since the days of 18th century neoclassical design.
Postmodernism kinda makes me sad.
Why's that?
While there are notable differences between modern and postmodern architecture, postmodern architecture lacks conformity, making it largely undefinable. Yes, it solves certain issues experienced with modern architecture, but in a very subjective way. It is not a fluid concept, which is, what I expect, makes me sad.
oh

Marry me?
Mayhap.

I was afraid of Philly the Fanatic when I was young.

I've been reading "Mere Christianity" by C.S Lewis, and while I wouldn't call myself a Christian just yet, I'm in no way the atheist I used to be; I really get the feeling that the answers i've been looking for are closing in on me, or rather they were nearby all along but I lacked the life experience to understand them. In that regard i've also been growing more traditional and nationalistic in my world views, I love my country and my people and want to do my part to help.

Also I've been carefully going through the communist manifesto, and I'm not sure whether it's terrifying or laughable how obvious it's influences are in society and politics; and my opposition to those influences has only grown.
Mere Christianity is a very good read!

And I think you mean patriotic rather than nationalistic. At least, I hope you do. :)

It is definitely going to be too dark to get a picture of the Brussels train station from the outside.
