Good, now what about the Feudal Japan and Good Modern era that people keep asking for too?
They said why they aren't doing Japan in the forseeable future.
lolmoderndayassassinscreedgame
Why aren't they?

A modern day AC game actually could have great potential, so long as it's done right.
Because they like to use lesser known/lesser used time periods.
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/feudal-japan-assassins-creed-might-feel-too-famili/1100-6423254/

A modern day AC game would remove two of the core aspects of the franchise, one of which is the staple of the franchise.
I can't think of any video game that takes place in historical Japan, outside of the RTS games.
They said that it's be too similar to ninjas, and there are a LOT of games involving ninjas.

Ancient Egypt looks to be Ubi's next destination bro. Although they've said they'd love to do a British colonial-era India, as well as Britain itself and maybe Africa
Like what? Ninja Gaiden and Fruit Ninja? Seriously, this doesn't sound overused at all to me.

Also add in that they cut having space combat in multiplayer+forge because they didn't think people wanted it.

*ultimate facepalm*
Do you have a source for that? I never heard them say that was the reason why, I just assumed they didn't have time.

FF matchmaking was terrible. If they'd have made an ODST style variant and that SvE one from the beta, it would have been good but the gametypes they had were shit.
Well, it was better than ODST where if you didn't have 4 friends that wanted to play, then fuck you.

FF Classic was fine, it's just the dumb ones where you had 4xOS, 1000Health, Infinite ammo, Rocket Launchers, and Jetpacks that killed it. Didn't help when 343i merged the 2 playlists together so that you could never get a full party match for FF Classic.

They had the SvE gametype, but it wasn't popular and had some glitches/unbalance so they removed it.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-11-29-bungie-toyed-with-reach-space-combat-mp

It appears what I was told effort was a slight exaggeration.

However, I was referring to the shitty 4x OS an power weapons gametype. I honestly can't remember the classic mode.

As much as what I love 343 is doing with Halo in general, they have shitty playlist management and DLC management.
I am not surprised, but still very sad.

Yeah, that gametype was always BS, shame they never just got rid of it altogether.

The thing I don't like about Common Core.. is we should be striving for the most efficient and simple way on solving a mathematical problem. I've seen that number line crap (or however the teacher is trying to present it) in action and thinking to myself, "That takes twice as long to get the same answer as just stating 30+5 is 35"

So much this. We need to be preparing children for the real life, that means teaching applied skills. In an everyday work scenario, a person will either pull out a calculator or quickly jot down a problem like 2+2x4(5-3) and solve it that way. It's simple, time saving, and the best way to do math.
You are so goddamn wrong. How the fuck can a person apply a skill that he doesn't even have?
. . . . . .

School=Education
Education=Teaching
Teaching=Learning math
Learning math=Being able to add, subtract, divide, multiple
And how, exactly, do you expect little kids to apply arithmetic when they don't understand it?
School=Education
Education=Teaching
Teaching=Learning math
Learning math=Being able to add, subtract, divide, multiple
So then why the fuck are you against using more than one example to teach children?
I'm not. I'm against the more complex and impractical form being taught. Traditional math has worked for centuries; if it isn't broke then don't fix it
So then why are you against number lines? They have also been used for centuries.
I'm just using number lines as a quick reference example. Others include whatever this shit is called

This is time consuming and VERY impractical and no logical reason to make it the main focus
what even is all this shit
I honestly think half that shit is made up. At the very least the 2nd one has to be, as I don't see how it makes sense in any way at all.
Nah, more enough chances it's real. Hell, check out this shit they teach in Japan
YouTube

I did this after just watching him do one and holy crap this makes multiplication simpler even as an adult. Why the fucking hell wasn't I taught this in school? All that time wasted on memorizing multiplication tables that I still can't remember too well. God dammit America.

Common Core doesn't change any mathematical functions. Traditional addition and subtraction is still taught. Number lines were use before Common Core, too.
Well, since I can't remember number lines at all, that leads me to believe either we never used them or it was briefly and after it was affirmed that nobody in the class had an easier time with it we went on to using the green foam blocks that pretty much anyone with a brain can understand.
Indeed. I'm not saying number lines aren't stupid, just that they existed in the classroom as a teaching tool long before Common Core.
They seem far more prevalent in Common Core, though.

It depends on what it is. If it has a role like the focus rifle sure it doesn't need to have decent kill times. But if it's a normal weapon then it's down right shit. The assault rifle is nearly useless due to the shit range and damage. The plasma repeater is just pointless since the damge output is shit. For Halo 2 and 3 unless you're doing weapon combos duel wielding the same type of weapons is pointless since the damge output for them is low. Halo does have a lot of weapons that are shit. The only decent ones are the power weapons or the precision ones.
A single SMG still has a faster killtime than an AR at close range, 2 SMGs isn't that bad despite there being better. I'm not aware if Bungie's design for the AR changing from Halo 3 to Reach, but again it wasn't meant to be a gun that's totally skillful in regards to aiming or that kills quickly on its own. They purposefully designed it so that it required players to use Grenades + Melee along with it to be used most effectively, as they complained that a lot of people just DW'd in Halo 2 and so weren't using the other 2 parts of the "Golden Triangle". The Repeater was just an Elite version of it that had potential, but sucked because Bungie wanted the Elites to have shit weapons in Invasion since the Elites had better traits.

Quote
The thing though about it is that it's the only counter to the sniper rifle. Since the thing has the range of one you're going to have people using it for that role. Normally if a rifle like weapon has the rage and scope power of a sniper rifle it's generally a sniper rifle. Which resulted in people using it for one. Bungie shouldn't have replaced the beam rifle with this thing. They should have included both weapons in the game.
Not really, shooting a sniper with your DMR/NR to descope them while you move to cover was a fair counter. The Beam Rifle was really just the same as the Sniper Rifle though, only difference was BR overheated if you fired too quickly. How would that have made people realize the Focus Rifle wasn't meant to be used as the Sniper Rifle is used, anyway?

Quote
It still shouldn't be an excuses for how shitty it is. The only reason why it's that bad is because Bungie didn't put focus into the campaign as much as they did with Halo CE and 2. It's just laziness. CoD 2 has only two tank missions out of all the levels where you're on foot. Even with them being the minority they are still well developed.
So, the point was things from Reach that were good. Yeah, they all probably could've been better, but that's not the point, things can always be better.

sorry my atheism pro membership requires me to tip my fedora once per day.
Nothing new really, going by that God created the universe he would still be bound by the rules he created that this universe must follow. That kinda means no things magically popping into/out of existence and so on.

Is that why he made me an atheist
Because God forces you to do things?

What Bible are you reading-OH WAIT
I prayed for weeks for a sign, a hint, for anything. It wouldn't take god directly appearing before me with a golden light, just some kind of sign.

Nothing ever came.

If there was a god, and he wanted me to believe in him, if he loved me, there would have been something. But there was nothing.

Kinda cemented things.
I'm sorry to hear that's how things worked out for you, but don't you ever think maybe it was just something subtle you missed?
If an all-knowing, all-powerful god meant for me to see it, I would have seen it.
God can't make you do anything, you get to choose how you interpret and see things. Really that's what a sign from God is, an interpretation of an event.
you're suggesting I actively chose not to notice something
I'm not saying you actively chose not to, just that maybe you didn't realize what it was when it happened.
if god meant for me to realize it, then he would have been clear enough, ye?

An all-knowing being would know what I would be able to pick up on, and what I wouldn't.
Hmm. A good point, but maybe it's just something you weren't meant to realize until later?

Sorry if I come off wrong, it's just that when I was in a similar place that you were in I found God and that's when my belief really started.

Regardless I actually find the design more satisfying than anything. We finally make Gravemind at least look like the bada$$ he was.
I dream worse or just as bad on a pretty average basis.

Still could've used more skulls as teeth. Always could use more skulls.
Again though, gotta respect the original design.
