People are crying about new stuff they've had no hands on with and is also a beta and subject to change.
Because saying, "Wait until you play the game before hating on it!" worked so well with Halo 4?
Ah yes. I forgot that we had input on Halo 4 by playing the Beta... Oh.
You really think that a Beta for Halo 5 is going to make all the difference in the world? They had Reach to work with, they couldn't get that right. They had Halo 4 to work with, they couldn't get that right either. They had extreme amounts of feedback both before and after Halo 4 came out, and nothing substantial happened. Halo 5 shows similar issues, and you think that in 1 month of feedback they'll learn more than the 4 years of feedback they had access to? Lemon, get real.

I think you need another break.
I think people like you need to vote with your wallet more often and not spend money on this cash cow.
Why you mad though?
^ And that's just the tip of the ice berg.

A Holographic Sight that is used in a traditional ADS fashion is from Halo 2?
The zoom feature, not the change of sight/scope.
Yes, it is still a magnification. Thing is, that it's a gimmicky magnification that has no conceivable reason for being implemented other than to attract the CoD-type player.
Something is different? It's obviously done to attract CoD players. - Assassin11D7
Really? So, why would they change something like that in a way that requires an animation that takes the dev team more time to do, adds clutter to the zoomed in screen, and offers no positive on a whim? What other reason is there? If you disagree, then clearly you have a well-founded reason to oppose me, right? Let's hear it.

I thought we were arguing about Halo 5 sucking balls, can we get back on track, please?
We've all ran out of ways to say that it looks like CoD and is a departure from the franchise. If we're going to keep this conversation going, we'll have to start copy/pasting.
Why the hell does nobody respond to my comments on Dual Wielding, ever? There's literally no flaw in the system, is that why?
I don't really see it as a gamebreaking flaw personally. Dual wield was a good mechanic that worked well in previous installments but it's possible 343 couldn't find a way to make it work in with this one.
What? It was unbalanced.
>SMG has faster killtime than AR at close range >Plasma Rifle tears shields down quickly even on its own >PP has EMP and can deplete shields when OC'd >Bungie could never figure out wtf to do with the Magnum after Halo 1, so you got me there m80. And again, there can be many weapons in the game that traits can be altered in Customs/Forge. There can be a DW set and a non-DW set. Respond, mother fucker.

Yep. Dual-Wielding was great, balanced and fun. Therefore, it doesn't fit into 343's plan for Halo.
Well, it was never really balanced all too well, but it had promise and was still a great feature despite not being done optimally. Also, where the flying fuck are my space battles?

Smart scope is quite a bit of screen clutter, but it's a pretty good looking alternative to a black-screen scope, plus you still descope: thank god it's not traditional ADS. Etc... Please stop calling it this. It makes me want to kill something.
It's not smart, it's literally as dumb/simplified as you can get when it comes to using a scope.
You're just mad that a scope is smarter than you.
Don't you have tea and crumpets to attend to rather than trying to insult me anytime I insult your 343i masters?

I'd say a holographic scope that target locks, displays weapon info, etc... that is built into your helmet is pretty smart.
Built into your helmet, you say? Funny, cause he moves the gun's sight to his eye like any dumb gun we have now. Smart-link scopes in Halo lore made sense as a name, because they were smart and instantly transmitted the view of the scope to the HUD, without requiring any movement. This is not that.

Zoom for all weapons, including AR's. Now give 1 solid reason why this is in any way a bad thing.
Dual-Wielding wasn't unbalanced, at least not based on my experience. Yes it was. A lot of dual weildable weapons were useless pieces of shit when used on their own.

That is actually incredible.
This is risky for me to say, but I think 343 finally understands how to advance Halo.
...by adding in more generic features from modern shooters?
The way I look at it, is that this is always imagined what a Spartan could do.
I can't wait to open up on some Covies with some actual power armor.
This isn't Crysis, ffs I'm starting to get flashbacks to Shootin Sammy's posts on Waypoint now. Yes, the game could be designed so you could do practically anything a Spartan could hypothetically do, but that's not what the gameplay has ever been based around. Changing it 10 years in is a dumb idea.

"It's only an aesthetic difference, they're not adding the ability to scope in for all weapons" "It's just the same as it was before" It's just zoom, which has been in every FPS Halo to date.
What happened to dual-wielding, something that worked quite well lol Duel weild was a broken and unbalanced mechanic.
and these changes negatively impact the core gameplay of Halo. You're so lucky to have played the H5 Beta.
Zoom, but it has been altered to be more familiar with CoD-style players with the ADS animation. You honestly can't say there's any other good reason for them to have done that. Dual Wielding wasn't broken, and there is 100% no problem with having it in the game. Don't want to play with DW weapons? Then use a different weapon set/place non-DW weps on the map. Because that line worked out so well when people predicted Halo 4's gameplay, right?

lol
Looks like the MCC may be the last Halo related game I ever buy if 343i continues to shove Halo down the COD road.

While im liking what I am seeing I don't blame anyone who hates this already. It looks like a huge departure almost like a new IP. We still have time so don't completely lose hope JUST YET.
Ive been thinking the exact same thing. Have the core games play like Halo 2-3 and have side games or DLC that play like Halo 4 and Reach. I'd gladly enjoy both
Why do you keep talking to yourself?.....

Wow. For once I have no bad feelings about any of the changes.
Please tell me I'm not alone.
looks like loadouts are still in
No they're not.
Really? Could've sworn it looked like they were starting with BR/DMR/AR off start.

Wouldn't Codfish hate it even more? Why the hell did 343Cannoe Brokers invite a CoD Cheatscoping Clan to the reveal
Probably cause they don't know a ton about Halo, so they wouldn't be able to have anything negative to say.
Not when they're paid and don't have any connection to the Halo community. Also, doesn't help they're taken a bunch of features from it.

Jesus you people are idiots, there trying there best to balance the game and getting that competitive feel, don't like it then get out, called it from square one, the halo community is a dead one.
There's just no satisfying the Halo community.
I know right, it's like dealing with spoiled little brats, why even bother with them, and they will think that Halo is dead, lol.
Yep, they hate every new halo game and away the previous better
>Reach comes out "Reach sucks halo 3 was great" >Halo 4 comes out "Halo 4 sucks Reach was great" Same thing is gonna happen when Halo 5 comes out.
Except, people still admit that every Halo game had its flaws and the people that hated Reach and Halo 4 still hate Reach and Halo 4. You guys are pulling a serious Halo Waypoint with how stupid you're acting.

it's probably gonna be fun....
it just doesn't look like halo
Look, as much as i love the old halos, it has to change, Halo 4 was a bad example, this looks like fun, you haven't tried it out, so why even say this doesn't look like halo.
idk, i'm at the point where i don't dislike the changes, i can see how if this implemented correctly it can be really good, i just hope there is an option to disable some of the stuff
Listen, if you don't want Halo to change, then play CE, SIMPLE AND EASY.
Are you retarded? Not liking certain changes that they're making doesn't mean you're opposed to all possible changes.

Seriously? I haven't watched it for too long, switched over to it a few minutes ago, but those changes would be: All zoom being ADS animation, wtf is that BR sound?, pointless climbing mechanic added, looks like loadouts are still in, and a bunch of different abilities(shoulder bash, groundpound, thruster pack, etc) that I'm guessing will end up needing large amounts of work if they're to be balanced.
