Half of that is more lore butthurt than gameplay issue, but I care about both. Well, we have seen people using ADS in lore before.

For them to trade that out for manually aiming down the sight is almost as stupid as the ME universe going from a practically infinitely firing rifle and back to clips in two years.
"But the Geth thought it was a good idea!"
You have to admit, the mental gymnastics the writers had to pull to accommodate that change in the lore that were pretty impressive.
That's not even aiming down his sights, though. It's clearly not in front of his visor, it's still to the side.

Now's you chance to strike, Icy.
I'd hit that.

This always happens when a new Halo game comes out. I find it rather silly considering its just a really early beta.
Taking tips from past Betas, it only gets worse from this point on.

Really though, people can get seriously hurt when hitting a tree/ice/etc
I understand the cause for concern.
That's why you don't go sledding into a forest.

*claps loudly*
We now live in a society where watching tv and playing games is more prevalent than partaking in an outdoor activity. Banning such a historic winter activity is as absurd as removing all teeter totters or climbers from all parks since a child may fall. While we're at it we should remove all swings since kids could pinch their fingers in the swings and/or fall off. This new trend is disgusting. I am in no way stating that there will never be an accident; however, generations before us have successfully survived while participating in activities that had much lower safety standards. Its time for us as individuals, parents and as a community on the whole to realize what we are about to lose. Let's face it, if tobogganing is too dangerous - what's next skating or better yet maybe hockey?
As someone who broke their front teeth on a teeter totter, had their fingers pinched and fell off of swings face-first, I can say that in the end it was definitely worth it.

The hill where everyone in my area goes sledding is right next to the police station/city hall. The only way they'd be upset is if someone went down the steep or tree covered side of the hill, and even then they'd have the common sense to tell you that's your fault for being a dumbass, and then help you.

Well here it is, objectively the best soda you can buy, and it's only made in Michigan. Stay mad, bongarongs
 FTFY
It's the only soda you can drink while sick that doesn't make you feel worse or puke.

Do all British people hate soda because all they drink is tea?
Most US Sodas use artificial sugar, in the UK sodas use sugar cane. Big taste difference.
Buy the bottled ones.
Do they have bottled Dr Pepper? Actually, does Pepsi have any bottled sodas that have real sugar in them? I only know of Coke and Fanta being big companies that make them.
No idea, but I prefer the taste of Fanta and Coke with real sugar. Hispanic supermarkets are just the best.
I can just get them from the grocery stores or get a 20 or 30 pack from Costco.
Unfortunately I have to drive a long way to run into a Costco, and only Hispanic supermarkets carry Inca Kola.
Well, that sucks.

Only the Irish would be drunk enough during mass to applaud a man that basically just admitted he's going to rape their children.

Support to the point of preventing harmful genetic conditions like autism/down syndrome/etc.
After that point you get to people designing their children to be as perfect as can be, which would likely end up in a social stigma against naturally conceived people, and generally be a cluster fuck.

What's the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath exactly? I don't think I ever was taught a good answer for that in school.
Do you think having the condition has impaired you in any way, or given you unique insights into subjects ordinary people would struggle with?

I don't know, it's probably on my end, but for this site and occasionally B.net the page won't load correctly or not at all despite other sites like Facebook and Youtube loading quickly and perfectly. Network connection is fine, too.

Well I don't have some grand showstopper of a post, I just thought this might be interesting to continue, in a more serious tone.
I get that a lot of you see all religion as fairy tales, but there's no reason not to have a good talk about what those tales mean, how they affect us, and whether there's any value in them.
As usual, I'm not here to convert anyone, but if you're going to criticize a religion, at least make sure you've got some of the basic premises down.
Maybe nobody will reply and this thread will be dead by tonight. If not, that's great. The Facebook joke above is a good starting point, since the tree the knowledge of good and evil is an interesting topic. Yes, we are continuing this discussion here since Kiyo doesn't want her thread to continue. This was Turkey's last post on the topic (I'm still waiting for my explanation of bodily resurrection, by the way), and I'm sure it will engender some interesting discussion.
So, we all pretty much know the story about Adam and Eve and Satan and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. What's your take on it?
The Snake sounds like the good guy and God sounds like an asshole. But that's how things mostly go in the Old Testament.
How is the snake not more of an asshole for tempting Adam and Eve to do the one thing God asked they not do?
God wants control, Lucifer gave man freedom
But God already gave man freedom, as he allowed Adam and Eve to choose.

My Philosophy class this semester is just watching movies and discussing the philosophy behind them. Also all our tests are online and we have a week to do each of them.

Funny thing is how you view the end determines whether you are an optimist or a pessismist.
They could've shown like a reindeer or something, y'know, something that wouldn't easily be able to eat them?

You don't get to complain about how cold it is until you've spent four hours outside in -54 weather with a windchill on top of that. If you have?
Then my apologies.
I spent almost everyday outside back in January and Febuary when it was usually 10 degrees Farenheit only wearing my hoodie. Does that count?
Edit: Apparently -54C is -65F. Why the hell is it so cold where you live, and why aren't you an icicle?
Actually. Parts of me were. I wore full survival shit and it was so fucking cold that I got frostbite anyway. Second degree on my hands and fingers, feet, and bits of my face that were exposed.
Jesus... I'd have just stayed indoors. Or is it like Hoth up there, where that's your average winter?
No. Our winters are getting colder it seems. The last few winters have been harsh. But I agree. I've minimized how much I've stepped outside to only a couple minutes a day, but when I went out on Monday I had to. Helping a friend. Probably saved his life too.
Average winters are -20 and 30. But we've been getting days going down in the 40's and 50's every now and then. Fuck that shit. A day of that frozen over hell makes a month long stretch of -30's seem like fun and games.
Yeah, I'm just gonna stay down here in Michigan where the weather changes every week. Good luck with that.
