I can't believe people on this forum want to live in a society where anyone can buy and wield military-grade weaponry. Fucking ridiculous and selfish.
Nah, it's just that we don't think giving a person a fully automatic firearm turns them into Rambo.
Just because you want to be a big man and buy bigger guns doesn't give you the right to put our society at risk.
I haven't even bought any guns, you shitlord.

The standard for being "BTFOd" sure has dropped. I don't care how much experience you have with guns, fully automatic assault rifles simply have no place in a civilian's hands. End of story.

That's literally as pointless as saying, handguns, shotguns, rifles, bows, knives, automobiles, bats, tire irons and countless other objects have no place in civilian hands. The point is, we have every right to have them in our hands so long as we are responsible.
Handguns, shotguns, and rifles are nowhere near the same level as assault rifles. I know you're not this dumb.
Fucking LOL

Please, Class, stop saying Assault Rifle at least, Okay?

Give me a rooftop and my grandfather's .44 bolt action Remington and I can do more damage than an assailant with an AR15 in an open plaza before we're brought down.
Well, you're trained. Automatic rifles take out the skill requirement. Any schlub can pick up an assault rifle and kill dozens of people before he's brought down. It takes a skilled marksman to do as much damage with a semi-automatic or manual rifle.
Your average Joe Schmoe picking up a fully automatic rifle would probably fall on his ass and shoot his dick off instead of killing that many people.

So, if I have 2 rifles or 2 glocks, does that mean I am equal to an AR or AutoGlock yet? Keep in mind I'd have my standard capacity 30 round glockazines.

Right now my meaning in life is to see what shit Verby says that gets people mad.
I think the only person that legitimately gets mad in a conversation with him is himself.
Well, you think everyone is mad. Sooo..

That awkward moment when OP finds out that there are Scientists that are Christian.

That awkward moment when generalizations must be made to split the communities and you don't realize it
That awkward moment when you don't seem to realize those communities aren't exactly separate, making your attempt to "split" them moot.

That awkward moment when you don't acknowledge that there is a predominant split between the belief of God and Evolution/Big Bang despite some overlap
That awkward moment when you think there is some reason Christians can't believe in Evolution or the Big Bang.

That awkward moment when you think the majority of them do believe in it
That awkward moment when you think majority would prove your case or that statistics don't change over time.

That awkward moment when you use a minority to try and justify your argument and won't recognize that I'm talking about now
That awkward moment when you didn't specify stats in the OP or specific topics, but are now because aside from them you are wrong.

That awkward moment when you assumed I made this thread with the intentions of stating stats instead of addressing a common logical fallacy in religious arguments
That awkward moment when you assumed I assumed you made this thread with the intention of stating stats, and not that I was pointing out flaws in your argument.

That awkward moment when you didn't point out any legit flaws in my argument
That awkward moment when it's pretty obvious what the flaws were.

The Flood / Re: 100 Brock Lesnars VS 10 Silverback Gorillas
« on: January 15, 2015, 05:37:27 PM »
Fighting Gorillas in hand to hand isn't a new question it seems.

Quote
Depends on you and your friends, though.  31 cubicle Dilberts or otherwise average Joes, probably not - the minute the gorilla gruessomely dispatches the first one, the other 30 will surrender to their instincts and cut and scatter as fast as they can.  I know I would.  However, 31 soldiers in decent shape, automaton-like in their obedience to instructions and chillingly disciplined like those WW2 Japanese, willing to die in the attempt and fearlessly continue the attack to the bitter end while ignoring the (understandable) urge to flee when splattered with viscera and other bloody odds and ends of their attacking comrades?  Yes, for a group like that it shuold definitely be doable.

First and most important, you have to figure out how to get all 31 involved and participating in the fight - if you all bum rush the silverback at the same time, the closer you get to it the more restricted the space becomes, and the more likely you will all just create an unweildy traffic jam where you're all packed in too close together to effectively swing a punch or launch a kick or whatever, while the gorilla has the leisure to reach out into that jam-packed mob and pluck you one at a time for a quick mauling.  Simplest tactic for avoiding that would be 4 concentric circles with 7 to 8 folk in each, attacking in waves.

First 2 waves should strictly focus on immobilization: grasp a limb, and hang on for dear life.  Launch the first group of 8, with 2 attackers for each limb.  A second or 2 later, before it has had time to kill or severely injure more than 1 or 2, launch the second group of 8, with the same object of getting 2 attackers hanging for dear life on to a limb.

So now, less than 5 seconds into the fight, you should hopefully have 3 or 4 surviving attackers clinging on to each limb.  At 200 pounds per, that's 600 to 800 pounds on each limb.  I don't care how strong a gorilla is, but even if it can move 800 pounds with each arms, it almost certainly won't be able to move such a weight very fast or very far - not enough to generate enough velocity to smash it or otherwise cause trauma.

Next, send the 3rd wave of 8 attackers - 1 per each eye, tasked with jabbing at it and poking it out, 3 to punch or kick the genitals, and the remaining 2 or 3 to try their hand and arms at choke-holding it.  The last should be an admittedly hard task considering how thick its neck is, but any restrictions on the gorilla's breathing at this point, when it should be hyperventilating with heart pumping super fast and lungs working overtime, should help and might cause it go into shock or suffer a heart attack or such.

And you still have a spare wave of 7 people, who can act as reinforcements to fill on the immobilization detail for those who tire or get killed or injured, help with the eye poking or genital punching/ kicking, or even simply sit or stand or lie on its chest, using gravity and and their body weight to make breathing that much harder.

If all goes well, the whole thing might go off without more than a couple deaths or permanent injuries, most likely from the first attacking wave.

Applying that with Lesnars, you'd have 2-4 on each limb and the rest going for eyes, testes, or the back of the head(you wouldn't break the skull, but perhaps sever the connection with the spine).

Another idea was outrunning/exhausting the Gorillas, then attacking them.

brock lensars easily

I'd say gorillas due to the fact they have some of the strongest jaws of any animal, not to mention their sheer physical strength and high pain threshold (especially when angry). Actually, even if it was 100 vs 10, but one gorilla at a time, you'd lose too many Brocks by the the 8th gorilla to finish them off.
ten brocks could easily hold down a gorilla though

Are you sure they'd even get close enough to hold it down? Gorillas have been observed ripping doors off cars and are fully capable of ripping limbs from a person.
But could they do it while fighting 9 other guys simultaneously? If the Gorilla can take the hits from 9 Brock Lesnars while ripping arms off, then that would work, but if it can't take that then well, y'know.

I think the Lesnars would have the benefit of better coordination and fighting technique. With those they could have a fair chance at winning.

Gorillas have extremely dense and thick bones, so they probably would be able to take a lot of hits. Their necks and head aren't even weak points due to this.
Eyeballs, Testes, Pressure Points, Temple? I'd imagine those would carry over as weak points on their anatomy, correct?

I feel like it'd be fun to build a massive nuke array underground, then just blow up the entire world (or at least the inhabited parts of the world.)

Not that I would, I'm just surprised nobody has resorted to such asshattery yet.
That's because the server doesn't have ICBMs, property is protected, and nobody really cares that much to do that.

PRAISE ODIN

um, no
Why not?

Because Jesus, obviously!
But Odin also had a son, a son that would save humanity a bunch of times!

And Allfather Odin is a very kind and just god and father.

But Jesus is the King of Kings >.>
Odin's job title is literally the God of Gods. So...

Ahem

Jesus: "Name above all names"

Odin's name? Not above Jesus.
That's part of Odin's job description too.

Well..............can he do the job?
Since Odin's dead, no he cannot.
