Kupo has yet to respond to my points, he continues evading them so I am calling him out on it. I'm saying that I'm right and he is wrong? Well, Camnator made the claim that the overwhelming majority of police officers would not let someone go if they were in the possession of illegal drugs, he specifically stated heroin in that incident but specifically stated marijuana later. Your problem was that he changed the specific illegal drug when in reality that wasn't what the main point was.
Seriously, why is Camnator banned for this? I admit he's not the most reasonable in how he responds to people at times, but he linked more sources than Kupo did, and Kupo was pretty much just saying "Nope, you're wrong, I don't believe you".

His claim was irrelevant to the discussion and didn't really have a purpose except to change the subject. It's really not difficult to see how I refuted his "arguments."
And then he took it to a different thread for no apparent reason. He derailed this thread, was completely off-topic another one--both in Serious, where this behavior is frowned upon. What else needs to be said?
How was his claim irrelevant? He mentioned that he had been offered to be a cop before and while he felt that he'd be able to handle the stress, he turned it down for stated reasons. You said that his claim was wrong, then the conversation started. You keep saying how you refuted his arguments, how? By saying that they're irrelevant? That's not a refutation. In that other topic you said something that he said contradicted what you said earlier. That is relevant as pointing out a flaw in your thinking is a contribution to discussion, whether you think it is or not. Also, can I bring up this? 3) I have refuted every point you've brought up. Also, name-calling has no place in Serious. You've gone full incoherent. Never go full incoherent. Also, how you say that he's lying about his job offer without any base for that accusation and it serving no real purpose in discussion? And a single incident of police brutality is hardly evidence that all police actions are brutality. That's poor reasoning even by your standards. Notice that Camnator never said all police actions are brutality. He said that it often times can lead to brutality or murder. "Often" is not at all the same as "all" As for providing sources, Camnator did that. He sourced crime statistics page and a video as evidence supporting his views. You responded with saying that it was either irrelevant or that 1 case doesn't mean it happens more than that. There are plenty of more cases of police brutality, there are websites full of them. Assassin, Camnator was lite-banned for derailing threads.

While that depends on your personal definition of derailment, or whatever the staff defines it as, I guess that decision has been made. May I see where the definition for it is? This thread was not derailed, it was a conversation that was on-topic that Kupo made sure was by continuing to reply to it. If the topic was derailed, then surely both users that caused the derailment would be banned, wouldn't they? I think this is an interesting topic and since Camnator has been banned, I will be substituting for his position until later notice.

Those pictures remind me of my grandfather's place in upstate New York that he practically built himself. Has a garden for himself and lives mostly off the land. Makes me really crave for that kind of life because being all cramped up in these shitty suburbs and dirty cities just can't compare to this world's natural beauty.
It is the struggle. Everytime I've really been out in nature it's been on tours, school trips, or camp; but every time all I want to do is just wander off and explore. What I would do for a life outside of the large cities and suburbs. I'd probably just walk around forever trying to take it all in. No problems, no fighting people, no busy noise, just peace.

My friend and I are discussing how a film adaption of this should be done, though.
That would be a great suspense film, I think.
We're discussing how to flesh out characters, proper sequence of events, keynote cinematic shots, how to incorporate humor properly, and we have agreed the Lead's name should be Oswald Potter so his initials are literally OP. The suspense and drama of finding out what's happening and why the characters are going down the paths that they are is really what fuels the film.

That really doesn't look that difficult to make.
It really isn't. It's a simple cylinder with a few lines to add definition.
I could turn something like this in maybe 20 minutes depending on how big the block is that I start with. Lathe work is relatively easy.
If you only had a saw, a knife, and some sandpaper then it would be more impressive. I don't see why you're going on about it being beautiful when it could easily be made in 20 minutes with the proper tools.
