"FUCK YOU" - Angry Marine
Take a hint, Rowboat Girlyman
Quote
The Angry Marines had apparently chased a Tyranid splinter fleet into Ultramarine space to which they brought absolute devastation. Impressed by their sheer ferocity the blessed Calgar offered an invitation to their Chapter Master, a man identified in the records only as Temperus Maximus. However, the invitation to meet their spiritual liege was responded to with the head of the slain hive tyrant -- on which was crudely scrawled an insulting cartoon of the Ultramarines defense of Macragge as well as depictions of male genitalia -- and the message, "STILL NOT AS GOOD AS THE HEAD YOUR MOM GAVE, YOU POMPOUS FUCKING DOUCHEBAG FUCKTARDS!!!!1!"

It is not in line with their theology to support the marriage of two people of the same sex in the eyes of God.

Expecting that to change is really just dumb on your part.
I'm not expecting that.
So, what would you expect that he hasn't done?

He doesn't look like Emperor Palpatine, he's been much kinder about gays, he's been kinder about atheists. What else is there?

Wow. Some fanbase I chose to be a part of.

I wish I could just be playing Custom Games on Reach again instead of this....
Then why aren't you?
Because no one plays Reach anymore.
For somebody not wanting to make stupid assumptions, you sure are contradicting yourself.
Of course I am singled out for making an obvious exaggeration. One that the vast majority of people here on this site, and elsewhere have made about any game that has a very low population.

If you find my exaggeration unsatisfactory, let me know, and I'll be happy to edit it.
You always get anal and finnicky about details and exact statements, so why are you surprised when it happens to you?

People still play Reach. There were gamenights Saturday-Monday happening on B.net just this last week.
A humane flaw I have. One that I know about and a occasionally "let happen". Which is why I have given you the option to request edit of that post if you find it unsatisfactory.

I do that to reconcile the error I have made. So, do you want the post to be edited?
I don't really care, but out of principle I'd say don't erase things just because it was a mistake.
I'm not saying I'll erase it. What I mean is that if you have a problem with the generalization I made, I can specify the statement further.

By the way, have you noticed that we seem to have difficulty parsing each other's sentences and meanings?
Probably because I have a habit of sometimes sucking dick at wording things in a way that is understandable to other people.
A real shame. So much friction between us could be easily avoidable. Of course, I'm not putting the blame on you, I am also guilty of doing that.
Eh, it is what it is.

They are idiotic because they agree with your opinion?

They are idiotic because they are casuals.
But they don't want Sprint, and they cry for classic Halo gameplay. So how are they casual again?

Because they request things such as 32v32 BTB.
How is BTB a bad thing again? It doens't even concern what you like about Halo.

All I see you saying is that they're idiotic because they're different than you.

Nothing is bad about BTB, I actually play 90% of my games in BTB.

But trying to get halo 32v32 is a joke.
wut

wutwutwutwutwutwutwut

You realize that BTB for Halo is casual in nature right?

Like, it's the most casual thing about Halo's MP.

BTB.net brotha.

Competitive BTB is where its at. Its easily the most fun I've ever had playing Halo.
http://btb.net/

Riiiiiiiigggghhhhhhht....

BigTeamBattle.net

righttttttttt
Let me get this straight. Your primary method of fun on Halo is in BTB on BTB.net's Tournaments and gamedays. If sprint is now toggleable, you'll never have to deal with it again because you're operating primarily in BTB.

And then its completely different from the vanilla BTB playlist. So people are less likely to watch BTB.net tournaments.
Who the shit cares who's watching the tournaments if you're the one playing and having fun? If Sprint is so widely regarded as being detrimental to Halo, then why do people want it in custom tournaments where they now have the ability to change that shit?

I care and the competitive community all cares.

We want tournament settings to be as close as possible to the vanilla matchmaking settings. Ex: LoL and Cod.
So then fucking play with Sprint if it's in the game! If the competitive community refuses to edit it out even if it takes a huge shit on the game, why are you even in that community?

Because the Competitive™ community feels they need to dictate how everyone else should have fun.
Nah, it's because it makes it easier for the main audience of the game to relate to the competitive settings, and thus for more people to get into it and support it. Case in point, when I was younger playing Halo 3 I adamantly avoided the MLG playlist because I thought it would just be BRs and 1, maybe 2, power weapons and that would be it. Magnify those differences more into sprint/no-sprint, etc. and it's going to be a lot harder for people to get into competitive, even if they aren't ignorant of what it's really like.

I agree with PSU, the percentage of people who don't want sprint is definitely more than that.

It's still a minority but it's more than 11%. I'd wager 20-35%.
Based on polls that have been conducted on other websites that aren't competitive in purpose, and the majority of the user bases aren't highly competitive either, it's actually a majority.

Arguably, many of that majority might believe it for inaccurate or inane reasons, but that's another story.

Anyway, what about waypoint? You know, 343's own website that had 70% vote for no sprint? LMFAO....good job, good effort....you're really trying here.
If the Waypoint community is so credible that it should be 343i's primary method of feedback, then why is it regarded as a cesspool of idiocy? And why aren't you posting there with all your "brethren" if the majority of them share your mindset?
If the Waypoint site isn't credible, then what makes 343i's poll any more credible?
I never said Waypoint wasn't credible.

Note the "If".
So, are you admitting that the poll results that 343i put up are skewed or BS based on every other bit of evidence there is?
I'm not admitting anything.
Well, good for you then.

Silly Admirals. 3fail3 don't listen to feedback, and want to destroy Halo.

This is obviously false.

FatMarshall plz

I like the changes though although I do think they could just take out sprint in this one, and I'm one of the people who are OK with sprint mostly. At the very least they could make it toggleable in Custom game settings and satisfy everyone.
All Spartan abilities can be turned of in customs

Thank God. I've wanted this for so long. (Oh god Imagine Fat Kid with Spartan abilities)
>implying 343i will actually remember to fix Infection so Fat Kid is possible again

Didn't they fix it so you could have a permanent Alpha Zombie in H2:A? Infact didn't they add the ability to add separate traits do different loadouts too? (Come to think of it I need to get back to forging)
I wouldn't know as the game never works long enough for me to find a gamenight to join.
