Can someone from Sapphire explain to me what ideologies/beliefs they considered bannable, and why does everything on there seem to boil down to politics, at least from an outside perspective that's what it seems like.
I can understand the dislike of banter/rudeness, but what I don't understand is what seems like the very firm political thought that controls the group, and the apparent disdain for any opposing thought.
the only thing that gets people banned is bigotry.
if someone says something that is racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, classist, ableist, etc then they'll be warned or banned.
So if I dislike certain groups of people that Sapphire doesn't dislike, that warrants a ban?

Well, Azu was going on about how you can't be racist towards whites, and you can't be classist towards the rich. So that implies it's okay to dislike those two groups. That kind of exception is what I mean, disliking a group of people seems to be viewed as okay, so long as it's part of Sapphire's group consensus. If it isn't agreed upon to dislike a group of people, then that's what gets one banned, correct?

They're down the ultra far left rabbit hole to the point they think the Soviet Union wasn't imperialistic via invading Afghanistan or what have you, because they're Communist and not Capitalist
I understand, that's what I've heard. But I'd like to see one of them actually civilly discuss their reasoning for their actions, as everyone outside their group seems to have the same opinion on them.
then go to the board and politely discuss communism instead of speculating about it with someone who is speaking out of their ass because they lack perspective
I'd rather not, as the last time I joined the group, although it was years ago, left a bad taste in my mouth as people acted very hostile and ganged up on users. Along with the feeling that I'd be walking on eggshells to reach a decent answer from the people there, I don't think it would be a worthwhile experience. Granted, many users I know have gone there just to act like idiots because they heard of Sapphire's reputation and didn't care to try to discuss, but that doesn't lessen my apprehension much at all.
